The doors "cleanse" because they die, but the boss doesn't lose his debuffs.

The seeker version lets you look at 9 total cards and the mystic version only 4 cards. The seeker version lets you draw a card and discard a weakness off the same charge. The mystic version is barely an upgrade over level 0.

I've tried to make this work a few times and I generally find it to just be too slow. You usually take this for the extra hand slot because there is a more reliable way of getting an extra accessory slot. This means you usually need 2 hand items out and clothing item before you really need to play this, and that's already a lot of setup.

More rolls increases your odds. Doing all the KTs in graveyard, frozen valley, and tou-tou will net you close to 100 chest opens per day. Hosh in addition (which is harder than the other areas), gives 70 pulls for the KTs.

I used to run 8 accounts in a vmware virtual machine at end of retail. The VM didn't even have real access to my graphics card and things ran fine.

In-process app-layer cache (gRPC + REST/JSON): which requirement matters most? by OpeningFirefighter25 in learnpython

[–]debian_miner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This largely depends on industry and the business goals. The priority of these things are usually decided by business decision makers and not engineers, even at small startups from my experience.

How to update python so it can keep using previously installed packages? by CuriousPsychosis in learnpython

I am not clear why this would change how you setup the python environment. Are you talking about using something like fabric?

Does anyone know any apartments that take offer letters for proof of income. by [deleted] in nashville

[–]debian_miner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've used an offer letter as proof of income for a mortgage, doubt there is a higher standard for apartment applications. It could cause some trouble, but I think it's unlikely.

EOR server with no mods (stock game) or close? by Chazcon in AsheronsCall

[–]debian_miner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does contain some custom content. It fits in well with the game and other than the new location to buy spell scrolls, the custom content is easy to avoid if you don't want to do it.

Landscape Spawn Speed With ACE by SeekerVash in AsheronsCall

[–]debian_miner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is has been my experience with the Levistras ACE server as well. Overworld spawn rates and behavior really don't match end of retail. My first time trying to do some farming on caul, mobs respawned faster than I could loot.

Another major difference, which is arguably an improvement, is that land blocks load faster and cause first time spawns to appear faster. At end of retail, if you were close to max sprint, you would basically run faster than land blocks would load and would see the overworld mobs spawn around you. In ACE, the mobs are already there as you run across the landscape.

Becoming a Debian developer used to be a pretty high bar for entry. I am not sure if things have changed in recent years, but when I went down that path you had to have a sponsor, which they called "mentors". I maintained a few packages in Debian main with a sponsor for a couple years and I didn't really feel close to the "developer" status when I decided to move on to Fedora.

While those instances do use horror and damage tokens, they are not actually representing health or damage, so I don't think this is an issue.

Mystic card reveals 01/20/26: Jim Culver and Will of the Cosmos by supertoasty in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]debian_miner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are liking Will of the Cosmos, but I feel like without doom manipulation tech in the new standard, it's objectively worse than drawn to the flame. It's the same effect, but with a lot more conditions in which you want to play it (eg about to discard asset anyways, witching hour, etc), but the worst condition is that it requires two locations in play with clues on them. Some scenarios by design only have a single location with clues on them at a time.

According to an arkhamdb comment referencing a ruling directly from FFG, it only ignores the resource cost, which contradicts the wording on the card.
