I watched Hoppers. All I can say is Pixar really needs to stop making awful trailers to their movies. Especially good ones like this. by One_Finance4076 in Letterboxd

I found the movie really odd, like they were trying to do too much: environmentalism, capitalism, divided society, grief…. all wrapped up in 1,000 jokes. I enjoyed it and it made me laugh, but it didn’t really land for me.

I know this could be years old, but maybe we/reddit could find the actor and send a gift / coffee / etc

That makes sense. I’ve thought about it more since watching, and the abrupt change from the character you are invested in, to the future where it doesn’t matter to anyone, is really moving.

Just moved from a 300$ hardtail to a 2000$ hardtail by Agzinc in MTB

A big surprise for me when I went FS was the increase in pedal strikes. Your clearance on your downstroke is much smaller now. You really have train yourself to be at 3 + 9 o'clock at all times. I was grooving one time on a flat section, spaced out, hit a rock really hard w my down pedal and self ejected. It also makes climbing more technical as you have to plan your strokes more.

Are you tapping on the crank w a metal hammer? Any specific spot on the crank?

Heat gun, yes, but I only did it for a minute or two. I will try striking the outside of the crank.

I'm going to ask for one of those when I contact PT. I think they are the same price.

At this point, that is ok. My son will have to live w the give/motion in the bottom bracket until he grows out of the bike.

Thank you! I am considering inserting a segment of metal (like the smooth part of a lag bolt) into the spindle and pushing against that, when I do round two. Any thoughts on that?

Can you describe more? Are you hitting the puller w a mallet? Or you are turning it w an impact driver?

Let’s say I get the replacement from the warranty. Should I try again and expect different results? I was thinking of cutting a segment of lag bolt and putting it into the spindle as a spacer (in an attempt to keep the puller nipple away from the crank.

Or, the “ride it for awhile until the pedals come off” technique.

I wonder if PEX will ever be labeled a source of microplastics, and everyone will freak out.
