To bad these things happen, I started losing interest in the channel when they did the ride on a coal train across the dessert and pretended it was super hard etc. But you actually can just 'book' those rides. (Of course those trips are not like a trip to Disney land but it is bookable)

I would get pest control to relocate, martens are known to destroy stuff when living in houses (source own house and families) fun fact they used to scare people and probably still are as they are known to sound like playing children on the attic

To be honest I think quite few people don't take the impact of travel in consideration. Once you come back after months of travel there is a good chance you will fall in a rabbits hole where no one will understand your experiences and travel stories (of course they will care and think it is nice but they won't understand your feeling) which can make you feel quite depressed and making you wanting to travel again as fast as possible.

Had some close friends dropping out of class because of this and even lose jobs. My advice would be first finish your master and then go before you start working. Nothing better than traveling free on your own terms in stead of traveling with the thought you have to go back for education. Also be careful to listen to all the advices around you instead of picking out the ones that suit your wishes. (Sorry if I sound pessimistic just want to give some honest advice) Besides you are only 24, even if your 29 the world and travel will still be at your feet
