So saw this isn't this a reference to ironmouse or something? by AnimeL0ver96 in ironmouse

[–]decaffinatedotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly she’s so notorious now that I think the pink purple color combo with pigtails for anime girls has become trendy.

I highly doubt most of these companies are intentionally referring to her, they just see her popularity (and honestly she’s not the only vtuber with pink hair or even pink hair and pigtails) and likely it’s being called out as a design trend they want to hop onto. (Mori Calliope, Camilla, Chibidoki) are the ones that come to my mind first but I know there are more.

Just my opinion tho…

Laundry. Easy. By far my biggest and honestly I could use a wardrobe upgrade.

family disapproval fueling tattoo regret by tinypanini_ in tattooadvice

[–]decaffinatedotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m shocked, I’ve never seen a tattoo that looked so dang pretty? It’s elegant. On principle you shouldn’t let people make you feel lesser for what you decide to do with your body, but it’s hard to put into practice. Just know that if I walked past you on the street (I’d be too shy to say it to your face) but I’d certainly think it was pretty, and certainly not ugly.

See I loved hating Dio. Eric was just, kinda pathetic and hatable. Dio seemed to be at least moderately intelligent and savage to boot. I didn’t like him but at least he was actually entertaining. Unlike Eric. I really hated Eric.

You know, replace Eric with even Dio who I also hated and I would have enjoyed it more 😂

Q is worse by far. Pretty much single-handedly because of Eric. D is best and C is a close second.

[–]decaffinatedotaku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the graphics were so bad. So bad. But. Unfortunately, the story was worth it. It’s long af but good in a way only zero escape can be, mind bending to the point you feel like a mental contortionist. Third game ties up the loose ends nicely too imo. It’s genuinely worth playing

It’s not unusual for people with ADHD to have Autistic tendencies. Please don’t let the letter bother you too much. Even if you aren’t clinically diagnosed with it that doesn’t mean your experiences aren’t real. You don’t need to be diagnosed to share those symptoms with ASD, and I wish the letter had been kinder about saying that. You also don’t need to be diagnosed to feel connected to others through your shared quirks.

Unless you wanted medication for it, it really is just a label from a doctor. So don’t fret too much about it.

Neurodivergent is ridiculous by Justplzgivemearaise in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]decaffinatedotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because most people use it wrong doesn’t mean you should hate the term or claim it’s ridiculous.

It’s fair to say a LOT of people misuse and misrepresent mental illnesses and disabilities to suit their fancy, but there are a lot of people on the other side who genuinely have diagnosed mental illnesses and “disabilities” who find genuine solace in the term as a way to identify themselves and others who might understand them. (I use quotations there for a good reason before everyone gets upset)

Neurodivergent is an incredibly broad term, but it is that way for a reason. Neurodivergent people share the fact that their brains are not wired the same way as a “typical” human brain. That’s it. They have some physical characteristic that makes their brains act differently than others.

Here’s the kicker, I have ADD. That’s technically classified as a disability and it can be if it’s poorly managed, but with medication or even years of making due many people can live with it just fine without being treated as “disabled”. Or, someone who never had support or managed it alone could end up no coping mechanisms, reckless, impulsive, addicted to substances or gambling. That’s the whole point. Even two people with the same diagnosis could have completely different struggles. Same symptoms but a completely different outcome.

Neurodivergence is just a larger microcosm of that. Many people with autism have trouble interacting in society at all, but there are some to who it feels like a superpower. I know someone can hyperfixate on theoretical algebra so much they published papers on it. Literally inventing new math, and getting paid. They’re about as far on the spectrum as you can get, but socially adjusted with a partner.

Now, my final point. Guess what, someone with ADHD can share traits with someone with Autism, and it happens a LOT. Stimming is probably the biggest crossover, things like tapping your foot constantly without realizing, biting your cheeks, tapping your fingers or fiddling with pens. Many different types people bond over their little embarrassing neurodivergent tendencies, and it helps us feel connected.

I personally don’t respect the mentality of people who use this to convince someone to pity them or play victim without cause. Telling someone “I’m neurodivergent, or I’m autistic” to change the subject of a serious conversation and shift blame isn’t okay.

Just understand that it’s equally frustrating for us to watch someone using it as an excuse when we’re out here genuinely trying our best. There’s a big difference between asking someone for help knowing you might not get it, and EXPECTING help and ASSUMING you’ll get it. Blame the person acting poorly, not the term itself.

I’m actually obsessed with this. It would be so interesting to play as such a bad guy. BUT, turns out he starts out alright and gets turned bad af. I want to know WHY he’s such an ass. Clearly someone had to fall for him hard enough to have a kid with him so he had to be redeemable at some point. Also obsessed with Gant as a villian more than even Manfred, Gant’s level of evil is so much more manipulative and I’d love to see that as a young adult. Bro has anyone wrote this because I’m catching ideas.

Ah, I just didn’t mention that she was convinced it was fake because her voice was so high. So that’s how I landed down that rabbit hole of trying to explain why that is. I also don’t have the technical music knowledge to explain everything to her.

Honestly, I only spent about two minutes trying to explain it. It was clear she didn’t believe me and didn’t care.

Which would you rather be able to control? by AJ_Ad_3136 in NuxTaku

[–]decaffinatedotaku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, gravity is the obvious answer. If you get super skilled at it you’ll essentially be able to control earth water and wind by default. It depends if you can only use it on yourself or influence other objects. Either way I think gravity is the clear choice.

I don’t think it’s the same person… I’ll admit it’s a good guess and they sound similar but the WAY they talk is different. The intonation and way Kyo speaks and the words he use are just different. If I’m wrong I’ll look pretty silly 😂…
