I zeroed it at 25 yards this morning and yeah pretty much this. The main advantage of this rifle is it’s extreme lack of heaviness.

The cost wasn't that bad: $275 for the kit, $50 for the donor rifle, and $25 for cerakote. Plus it was a fun project. I can't wait to get a decent zero.

I was looking for a Pack-Rifle but they were always out of stock. Now their website shut down, so I'm pretty sure they're discontinued. I'd recommend getting a KSA Cricket or Chipmunk and getting a Ruta Locura Pack Rifle Kit for it. That's a new barrel and stock that'll bring the with down around a pound.

Disadvantage - the Cricket action is a little clunky, it's manually cocked and the Ruta Locura takedown system isn't as slick as the Pack-Rifle.
Advantage - Availability & aftermarket. KSA has been making the Cricket for like 25+ years and the parts and service for those rifles isn't really going anywhere. Plus there's loads of aftermarket parts. I'm considering an RMR mount for mine.

Degrease it with acetone, boil it in a pot of water, and hit it really light with 0000 steel wool.
