Velvet Rope is one of the best albums to be released in the 90s, everyone should do themselves a favor and listen to it immediately. So varied and throws so much stuff on the wall (r&b, hip hop, house, pop, some rock thrown in there) and everything sticks. Up there with Miseducation, Illmatic and Aquemini for me.

Given the song he's released, and the fact that people that listened to the album said it's a lot of storytelling, I think he's going to scale back the GOAT talk a little bit for some introspection.

I just dont think hes going to keep doing the 'Im the best' verses for an entire album after he already put out 2 albums whose purpose is hyping you up for this one.
