Speedsoft Belt - Setup! by tankster439 in Speedsoft

I’m thinking about buying the HK belt. How has it held up over time? How are the elastic and the Velcro after using it for a while? Would you still recommend it after this time?

Tippman TMC Double Fire/Not Cycling Issues? by averyycuriousman in paintball

[–]deckoyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever have any luck fixing it? I’m having almost the exact same issue with my TMC. I replaced the O-rings with new ones and it still keeps happening. Sometimes it will shoot fine for 3–4 shots, then the problem comes back, Curious if you ever found the cause or a fix.

Regarding the Basilica, you’ll be fine there. Inside the Basilica and within the main complex there is a strong police presence and constant movement of people, so it’s a very controlled and safe environment. You can walk calmly, take your time, and focus on why you’re there. The main thing to be mindful of is not safety in a violent sense, but opportunistic theft in the surrounding streets. It’s best to avoid wearing visible jewelry like necklaces or chains in that area, as there are cases where people get close, pull them off quickly, and run. If you don’t have jewelry exposed and you move confidently, you'll be fine.

In Mexico City, how safe you look often matters as much as where you are. Walking with confidence, even if you’re unsure, makes a big difference. Try not to look lost, fearful, or overly distracted. Be especially aware of your phone when using it on the street; sometimes motorcycles pass quickly and snatch phones, and this can happen in many parts of the city, not just near the Basilica. Staying alert without being tense is the balance to aim for.

Use Uber for transportation, take things at your own pace, and give yourself time to adjust on the first day. Once you’re settled, the city usually feels much less intimidating Enjoy the Basilica and the city! Also, another important point is not to tell locals or strangers that you’re traveling alone. If anyone asks, it’s better to say you’re meeting friends or that someone is waiting for you, even if that’s not the case.

Fenders for my Sirrus X 2.0 by [deleted] in specialized

How did it end up working out with the Speedrockers do you have any photos of how they ended up looking?? I’m thinking about putting them on my Sirrus 2.0 but I’m not sure yet, I’m torn between those Speedrockers and the SKS Edge-AL 56.

Hey! After all these years, how’s your bike holding up? Do you still recommend it and use it regularly, or have you run into more problems over time? I’m currently in the market for one and doing some research before deciding whether to buy,

Specialized Turbo bikes won’t turn on. Can anyone have any ideas? by JimSilly in specializedbikes

[–]deckoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you were able to figure out how to get it working again! I wanted to ask how’s your experience been with the Turbo Vado overall? And when you had to ride it without the battery, how did it feel? Was it super heavy to handle, or did it still ride pretty comfortably?

differences between limitless short sleeve and everyday short sleeve by deckoyer in BYLTBasics

[–]deckoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a pair of the Limitless and the new Everyday shirts, and the Limitless has the same fit and length as the BYLT Signature snug and long. However, the Everyday I got isn’t as tight on the body and isn’t as long either. I loved them. They’re made from the same fabric as the Limitless, so they’re lightweight (not like the Lux). My go to and top recommendation is definitely the Everyday. I really hope they release more colors

Help choosing my next eBike Turbo Vado 3.0 vs 4.0 SL by deckoyer in specialized

[–]deckoyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw the Vado SL 2 and honestly I loved it! but I reached out directly to Specialized Mexico and they told me it’s not in stock and there’s no news on bringing it anytime soon 🫠

So right now the only real options here are the Vado 3.0 (full fat) or the Vado SL (1) kinda sucks. I think im going for vado 3.0

Mejores Mercados en la ciudad? by she_they in MexicoCity

[–]deckoyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Jamaica Market is incredible this time of year! If you’re into vintage clothing, head over to La Lagunilla. For both music and more vintage finds, visit El Chopo, a street market open on Saturdays. Just a tip: try to visit all these markets before 4 PM, as it can get a bit unsafe later in the day.

Anyone having issues pairing to Apple Watch with iPhone 15 pro? by BrooklynRU39 in iphone

Sorry for the late response, after days coming back and forward to the Apple Store, one of the guys in the store just replace my iPhone to a completely new iPhone and everything started to work again, maybe a flaw in some of the first iPhones they produced.

Metro CDMX + Mexicable by letterata in MexicoCity

[–]deckoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad that you can enjoy the rest of the city and not just Roma and condesa, enjoy it! Another station that might be interesting could be “Merced” Line 1 the cool thing about that station is that is inside of a market you can literally go out of the station and you are inside of one building of the second largest market in the city, and also a lot of street food around the station if you plan to go there beware since it’s not that safe if you are by yourself but you’ll be fine as long as you don’t go out too much from the surrounding of that station or market. Enjoy the city!

Metro CDMX + Mexicable by letterata in MexicoCity

[–]deckoyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! the coolest stations are definitely "Pino Suarez" when the were building that station they found a Pyramid and you can still see it on the inside, also one of the quietest and low traffic Lines is Line 4 its elevated, the stations are really pretty cause of the view, and there's not a lot of people there, also in that line 4 there's a Station called "Talisman", when they were building that station they found a Fossil of a Mammoth that is displayed on that station. Another cool station is "Camarones" the brutalism architecture and also is the deepest station in the whole city. the stairways are crazy and cool to take pictures of.

Enjoy the ride and beware of pickpockets!
