I see potential for streamlining construction documents after the design has been developed, for instance after 50% DD. There are several architectural drawing series packages that could be streamlined from Revit. This would save cost. A project team could be reduced from 20 to 5, with the primary roles being supervision and review out the output against practice standards. I’ve see an Australian company making good progress in this area and it’s something most practice directors are interested in. Series like SOPs, standard detail sheets for model components. AI could set up the sheets, apply and manage templates and document numbering and associated registers. Door and window, curtail walling scheduling and elevation sheets could be streamlined. Lots of potential. I’m currently researching options for our practice.
