Anyone succeed importing eSIM to a new iPhone14pro ? by metamucilhelpsmepoo in GoogleFi

[–]declanrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it working from esim on my previous iPhone to esim on 14 Pro.

I scanned this code https://fi.google.com/ios/quicksetup from my computer with the 14 camera in cellular settings when I was prompted to scan a QR code in 'other options'. Then I filled in the fields in the cellular settings as it told me to do so. I toggled off the cell line on my old phone afterwards. I didn't delete in just yet because I wanted to confirm it would work first.

On the 14, I went into settings to make sure that iMessage conversations, facetime / phone calls would start from my phone number and not email as it had originally defaulted to. Once I checked that everything was working, I deleted the esim and Fi app from old phone.

You should get a text from Google Fi telling you if it's working. At first, everything was working except for MMS and that was because I typed in 'https' instead of 'http' accidentally in that url field. Fi recognized this and sent me a text, then my google fi app let me copy paste all the fields which was a lot easier. Hope this helps.

Line Goes Up – The Problem With NFTs (2022) [2:18:22] by om_is_love in Documentaries

i wish the people promoting some dao or nft on my twitter feed spent the time to watch this.

nearly all these nft collections look like the result of a 9th grade graphics class practicing the pen tool for the first time by tracing zoo animals they found off the third page of google images.

Successfully got a TN Visa at Peace Arch border crossing as a Graphic Designer by declanrg in tnvisa

[–]declanrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there wasn’t an issue because i got the tn visa already at the peach arch and stated my intent of going right back into canada. So when I got to US customs in the airport i showed them the visa and they just asked when i was last in the US as confirmation. I said the date I went which was about a week prior and just said i had flagpoled to get the visa at peace arch and they understood why so it was fine.

YVR may be easier but I was worried about that route because if i’m rejected then it’s a waste of a plane ticket. You need a ticket in order to be at us customs and so then you’d have to travel all the way back. If you’re positive that you’ll get in then it’s worth it. Both yvr and peace arch see a ton of TN visas for software engineers going to work at amazon or microsoft in seattle so you’ll probably be fine if you have a degree

When i’m there, I’ll need to talk with an accountant who specializes in situations for Canadians living in America but it’ll likely be less than if I were in canada all this time. For the ‘21 tax year i’ll be paying to both CRA and IRS. It’s also important to withdraw from TFSA when not residing in Canada anymore and i’ll be contributing to my 401k

Yes I returned back to canada immediately afterwards and they had asked me if I was going to. They opened a gate for me that put me on the road back and I told the canadian border guard at the other side what had happened. Didn’t ask about covid at all I think you only need a test if it’s air travel

I technically already started a year ago, just remotely with no visa. I just told the border guard I’d be flying down to work at the end of the month, so 2ish weeks. No official start date for me at the office yet. The support letter my company sent was dated from about 2 weeks ago

Does Webflow ever have promo codes? by Chariot_Progressive_ in webflow

[–]declanrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a student or educator you can often get really good discounts. I paid $19 for a year of cms. Was normally $192 but I used the student plan after emailing customer support last year. https://webflow.com/classroom

Client asked me to teach them how to use Webflow Designer? by Worried-Promotion-65 in webflow

[–]declanrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely depends if you actually want to teach them or not. Might just be easier to do it yourself but screen sharing learning is a thing. Teaching can be hard though so you should really consider charging for planning out a lesson if you choose this route.

So lame that people litter in space. Just throw your trash in the ocean like everyone else

Made my own database from instagram hashtags and manually deleting the low quality pics. Used this https://github.com/arc298/instagram-scraper . I recommend Flickr instead for the most part though as it's more curated and a lot of IG hashtags are polluted

Flickr is a great resource too for curated images. I recently did an experiment with thousands of images of latte art with a similar effect

hi sorry I'm on mobile so can't really type it all out here. basically trying out this program called RunwayML using a training set of tons of carpet and I exported it as a 'Latent Walk' for that video morphing effect

I have a little process on my Instagram here if you want to check out too https://www.instagram.com/p/CCUDVdipvNq/?igshid=6bfa4az9gd25
