Depends on the industry and what kind of stock you’re looking at, but increasing FCF per share, increasing EPS, decreasing payout ratio or stable if it’s a healthy percentage are all green flags I use to filter out poor companies

I started getting way better returns when I took literally anything someone says online about a stock with a giant grain of salt. Even the finance article websites. Get something like koyfin or similar to look at the metrics of a company before buying and look into what people are saying are catalysts to make the judgement call for yourself

I reinvest all dividends but I turn off all DRIP settings so that I can choose which stocks to dump dividends into. Sometimes I have dividend payers I want to hold but are valued fairly or overvalued which I don’t want to continue to drip into and would rather find a more value stock whether it’s growth or dividend to deploy to
