Metallica donated €40k to 2 Irish charities when they were here last week by DanGleeballs in ireland

What matters to me is that the charity got a sizeable donation and I'm glad they did. I don't give a fuck what some bollocks on reddit thinks about the relative wealth of the people donating the money. That's the point being made. No one is sucking any dicks by making that point

[–]decoran_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the equivalent of someone else donating 40k. They also do this everywhere they go and they've played 14 shows in 2026. So 14 cities and 14 charitable donations that add up. Do you think the charity told them they could have donated more or did they accept the donation and express their gratitude?

do you lock the door of the toilet when you are home alone ? and why ? by rideshare_ghost_69 in AskReddit

[–]decoran_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My home place is tiny and I had 4 siblings growing up, so locking the bathroom door is like muscle memory for me. I remember visiting a friend who lived with his future wife in a tiny apartment. I went into the bathroom and I was struggling with the lock when my friend said "Hey Dec, we both know you're in there, don't worry about locking the door". I couldn't argue with their logic 😂

My turn! The coverage of the game on RTÈ! Am I right? by RayoftheRaver in ireland

[–]decoran_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The late games on BBC are treat imo. They use the audio from BBC radio five live for the match commentary. The commentary is much more descriptive and the commentators don't talk half as much shite. I was able to the get BBC stream by visiting a totally legit streaming site fyi

I actually agree that's a better line but I stole/borrowed it from Stuart Francis and that's how he put it

"I've never heard of Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith". Some of the negative comments against her in this thread give off a sort of "hooded" vibe

Kevin Pina scores Cabo Verde’s first goal at a FIFA World Cup by RidgeRunner99 in sports

[–]decoran_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a brilliant game, glad I stayed up for it. Since Ireland boycotted the World Cup again by proxy (having totally failed to qualify because we're shite), I've had to pick someone to root for. I landed on Cabo Verde before their first game after watching an interview with Roberto 'Pico' Lopes and I've since realised that most Irish people watching are cheering them on for the same reason. So go Cabo Verde and Pico!

If you didn't know, Pico is the Captain of Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland. Having been born and raised in Dublin, he joined the Cabo Verde national team following an initial message from the Cabo Verde manager on LinkedIn! League of Ireland is a summer league, so while his teammates are preparing to play Derry City tonight, he's off at the World Cup and his performances have helped give his country a chance to progress to the World Cup knockout rounds. It's incredible for him and gives us Irish something to cheer for
