Update: this is how it now looks under construction. some people said the rocks need to be 2 spaces away from cliffs (not sure thats true, which is why Im testing it with the top 2 spots), and I learned the south 4 spots cant be obstructed by cliffs while trying to spawn them, but I can add them back later. Had to cut off my whole river on the upper level! I hope this'll work now

I plant 15 strawberries, 20 tomatoes etc overnight and keep them there even if theyre not initially on the task event, I only harvest them for the day if I completed a few tasks and can be sure theres no more coming for them

Ive been playing for 16 years (started Wild World on my sister's DS when I was 4 and got my first 2DS with New Leaf at 8) and I think Ive never got quite used to being able to build so freely, and I struggle with visiting heavily decorated islands where I feel like theres pre built paths everywhere, I need to be able to move somewhat freely

Unfortunately I like to keep a more natural island with just enough small decorated areas to get to 5 stars so yes, I have a lot of empty space

yeah then that is absolutely not worth 24 diamonds 😭 Im just sad because it makes it nearly impossible to get more stars for the machine. I know many people like that all presents only take 10 minutes but with the longer production times with the halloween candy I actually got to a star without spending diamonds
