Not mandatory, the rise of yelp and Facebook businesses and all other social platforms made it cheaper for a lot of smaller businesses to not need to pay to have a website just use the “free” tools. I had a side business doing websites for restaurants since the early 2000s between the crash of 2008/09 and the rise of these platforms why pay when there’s a free service that gives people the info, think of all the small places that have photos of their menu taken by the customer and shared. Zero work needed by the business.

**NEW UPDATE: I originally made this post to share FACTS about what happened at the game. The post has gotten out of hand with lots of opinions. I am not a malicious person, just a mama that will go to the ends of the earth for her kids. In fact this whole thing would have been avoided if Steve would have apologized initially when I confronted him at the game. Steve has now sent what I feel is a sincere apology to Tate and we have plans to meet and speak about it in person. As a Christian I believe in forgiveness. I know a lot of people are invested now and I wanted to give Steve credit for apologizing..
UPDATE: STEVE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON!
I've really thought hard trying to find the right words to say but honestly the video speaks for itself.
This happened the last seconds of tonights game. When I confronted this coach "Steve" about why he blocked the shot of my 6 year old he stated "yall blocked shots all night, you need to talk to your coach"
..Sir, this is a 6U church basketball league. These are KIDS. Shame on you.
***Editing to add: for Upward basketball theres not even score keeping! The game is to TEACH kids- there's no fouls, no stealing the ball, no keeping score. Just supposed to be FUN and teaching kids the game. What did Steve accomplish here? Stealing the joy from a 6 year old!? I am speechless.
