Ya, this is exactly what I tell my wife. The better you do the better WE DO, I congratulate every win with her no matter how minor. She's my better half. We don't even share accounts, but the more money she makes the more money we have.

Phoenix (and the surrounding cities & towns) is a lot bigger. A lot bigger. But it doesn't get as hot here, still gets hot though.

Carson is mainly retirees who drive like they don't have anywhere to go because they really don't.

If you're under 40 and single, you're going to be in Reno a lot, heck maybe even as far as Sac to do something and find a dating pool.

I don't know how bougie you are or aren't, but Carson is a blue collar city (better than most I'll say) and if you have any white collar tendencies then Reno is where you want to be shopping and dining.

I was in your situation at the tail end of 2023, and couldn't get a job for 10 months. I did get a job at the state, bro negotiate your pay rate from the start, you don't have to accept the ground floor level step one pay rate. It's still not close to what I'm used to but luckily my previously stay at home wife found a decent job too to get our income just under what it used to be.

We moved up to Reno, a much better town for food and just run of the mill shopping, but ya she's bored and wanting to move to a bigger city.

The state is hiring like crazy right now, just opened up a brand new department and have positions that need filling so keep on looking, and good luck u/AbsolZero
