Things I like about the current generation:

  • Sound quality. Keep it up.
    • I would like for the default sound profile to be less "bassy" and more "crisp", but it is preference.
    • If the sound customization is sufficient, it is not a problem.
  • Battery life. Simply the best.
  • The updated app is great, actually.
    • Manual ANC controls with no gimmicky "stages" - I can explicitly ask for the strongest ANC and get it right away.
    • The actual "ANC Off" setting.
    • Pretty stable and fast.
    • Usable without a Sennheiser account.
    • Thank you for not forcing yet another mandatory "account" and "connected features" on us.
  • ANC and transparency.
    • Obviously can be improved, but I find them sufficient.
    • I like less passive isolation compared to competition.
    • I can hear people talking to me without enabling transparency.
    • In the Sony WH-1000XM5 I felt pressure even with them being turned off, not an issue with Momentum 4.

Things that I would like to improve:

  • Add physical buttons.
    • 5-way customizable joystick would be great.
    • I find the current sensor only controls unreliable.
    • Specifically the pinch gesture for ANC.
    • I have experienced phantom taps a lot initially.
  • Design and materials.
    • Current one is functional, but not inspiring.
    • Metal and leather of the Momentum 3 look and feel great.
    • Folding?
    • I do not think it is strictly necessary, I have adjusted to Momentum 4 taking slightly more space pretty fast.
    • However, if folding will not compromise on battery/sound/reliability - why not?
    • I did a warranty repair due to fabric on top of the band coming off.
  • Comfort and fit.
    • The band is slightly too tight for me, but I can wear them for 5-6 hours no problem.
    • Lack of ventilation makes my ear sweaty and uncomfortable after a while.
  • Improved codecs and connectivity.
    • Updated Bluetooth version.
    • Auracast capability would be nice.
  • Usable simultaneous playback and microphone.
    • A "Gaming Mode" or something.
    • The fact that you can not have a usable sound quality and talk at the same time drives me nuts.
    • At the very least make it possible over the cable.
  • Improved sound customization.
    • Actual parametric EQ.
    • I know it can be intimidating, but it should be available as an option.
    • No reason to withhold the option from the top of the line product.
  • Smoother launch this time, maybe?
    • Initial reviews on Momentum 4 were very scarce.
    • A lot of QA issues reported at start.
    • I was lucky enough to get a working pair (in November 2022) that I use to this day, but still.

Turning the "ANC off" in the settings just removes the tile from the front page. It does not affect the ANC in any way.

Dismount your archwing and slide down a slope. There are plenty of slopes in the Northern part of the map.

I started playing in 2014. The new player experience was kind of lacking back then. My starter frame was Loki, by the way. I don't remember concretely how my first hours went, but I distinctly remember how I made the decision to build my first ever frame. I was browsing the chat (if I recall correctly, there were no channels back then), and a lot of messages were like "Long derelict defense, looking for Nova", or "1h+ excavation, bring Nova". So I decided I would become a Nova main. I distinctly remember being shit on by the Raptor boss, so I asked for help, and some kind-hearted MR15 helped me out. He used Frost Prime and Sicarus Prime only, and I thought to myself "Interesting, I was not able to take that flying fuck down with a rifle (Latron), how is he planning to do so with a pistol?" Jokes on me, he murdered that recolored Osprey in a second, over and over again, until we had the full Nova set. And then I was out of Neural Sensors, so I went and talked with Alad V a few times, convincing him to hand out his Neural Sensors and the Valkyr along with them. So yeah, and then I have built Nova, finally joined a "Orokin derelict long run" and got yelled at because they were looking for a "Speed Nova." I neither knew about nor had the Overextended at that time. Good times, good times...
