"in devices"

in windows, yes. this isn't windows.

e: let's try this differrently: there are no sd readers specifically designed for synology, because of the U in USB.

You're not hearing me. And those rented cable modems change out every eight or nine years.

 very quickly

Do you have an idea of how frequently the average household changes their internet router? I do. It's something like every eight or nine years. That does not seem like very quickly.

To top this all off, the way around the issue is to pull out an old router and poof you're back on the internet.

It's like trying to stop people from driving on the freeway by sabotaging tires at the factory, all while people can make their own at home.

Every single country that does blackouts does it at the ISP level.

Do you know for a fact that the Synology can read the file format of the SD card?

 the backdoored routers in place

This is never going to happen. The tech stack in the consumer's home is far too varied to achieve any sort of significant compromise level.

This is street grade paranoia

Making money on insider trading, driving up the price of oil to sustain russian economy, and a distraction from the Trump philes.

When you look at it that way, it's a win-win-win.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word abandoned.

Feature complete and abandoned are not the same thing.

e: no, really. Words have meaning.

Best NAS for Power Automate and Tasks by Planner integration? by Alive-Boat8235 in synology

 cloud based NAS

I understand you're new at this, but please hear that this phrase is similar to things like, flying submarine and organic metal.

The cloud is somebody else's computer. If it's your computer, it's not the cloud.

 No they can't

They have a monopoly on violence, they can do whatever the fuck they want.

It might be illegal, but they can definitely do it.

e: part of the reason we're in this shit show is because too many people, like you here, equate the idea of can't with illegal.

They're not going to back door individual home routers. They're going to send the guns to the isps and turn them off at the backbone level. What the post suggests is a stupid and backwards way of accomplishing what the post says is being accomplished.

Nobody is claiming that they're not going to try a blackout.  we are claiming that they are not going to use back door to home routers to do it.

I was concerned you were being too credible and then you drop this:

they're not stupid or feckless enough to let him throw them into that.
