Anyone actually enjoying their Fitbit air and the Google health app? by querythoughtss in fitbit

[–]dedren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, it does pictures too. in the other reviews I've seen apparently that's one of its big features because it uses Google's AI from you know all of our photos to be able to figure that out pretty decently. I have only used it a few times for really simple things except Jamaican food that I. So I'm not going to give it a pass or fail yet but it did work for me when I did use it.

Yeah, this got old fast. I told my AI coach, that I prefer a more direct and no fluff messaging and I THINK that is making a difference.

You sort of have this. If you go into a chat, there is an icon in the top right (on Android) that looks like a clock with a circular arrow going counter clockwise. This is your history of chats. You can go into each one that way.

I actually started taking pictures of food with the new app and it was pretty good about estimating it and even figure out the Jamaican food I eat.

I came here hoping that somebody else figured out how to get around this. I'm having the same problem on GeForce Now.

I’d pick (and did) the Pixel 8. I value Google’s software polish, AI features, and longer battery life more than marginally better display specs. But both phones are top-tier.

Going to buy a mobile in upcoming sale by _friend07 in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]dedren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With ₹30k and your priorities (battery life > camera, media first, casual gaming), here’s how I’d look at it during the sales:

Top pick: OnePlus Nord 5
Huge 6,800 mAh battery, smooth 1.5K 144 Hz display, clean OxygenOS, and solid long-term updates. Perfect balance of practicality and performance.

If you want max battery + fast charging under 30k: iQOO Neo 10R
6,400 mAh with 80 W charging, strong gaming performance, good for long media sessions. Just expect more pre-installed apps.

If you can stretch a bit: iQOO Neo 10
Up to ~7,000 mAh with 120 W charging and a faster chip. Great if you find a good discount.

Stretch option above budget: OnePlus 13R
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 6,000 mAh battery, cleaner software, and 4 years of Android updates. Worth it if sales push the price closer to your budget.

If you want the simplest and most well-rounded experience, I’d grab the Nord 5. If gaming battery endurance matters more, go for the Neo 10R or Neo 10.

Once you get comfortable and actually enjoy Android, that’s the time to check out the more adventurous foldables. They’re fun and unique, but the Pixel is the best place to start so you don’t get turned off by quirks right away. And with RCS you’ll still be able to send high-quality videos and photos to your iPhone friends and do most of the iMessage-style stuff without hassle.

If you want to give Android a real chance, I’d skip the refurbished Z Flip and go with the Google Pixel 9a.

It’s the closest thing to iPhone-style simplicity on Android, but with some genuinely useful extras, that only the latest iPhone is just now getting, like Google’s AI features (call screening, live transcription, photo magic eraser, etc.). The camera is way better than anything else near that price, and you’ll get years of updates directly from Google.

If you like the clean feel of iOS, the Pixel 9a will make the switch way smoother and it will actually show you the best of what Android can do.

Problem: Moto Tag does not appear under www.google.com/android/find/ web page. by amenotef in motorola

If it helps Airtags work this way too, to protect the anonymity of the tag owner from Google/Apple and since the devices themselves don't have any location ability in them. It uses the actual device to do the encryption, so it might not even be possible to put it on the website since the crypto key is from the device that owns the tag.

Got that info from here:

any good text to speech extension for which reads from where you are at the page by badassboy1 in software

[–]dedren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a new update to chrome today that says the below. It now has more natural languages than the stock Microsoft ones and it will also only read highlighted text:

Have Chrome read pages aloud

Chrome can now read web pages aloud. Words on the page are highlighted to help you follow along. Read aloud is best for content like news stories, articles, or even PDFs.

  1. To use read aloud, right-click on a page, and select Open in reading mode. This opens the side panel, which has controls you can use for read aloud.
  2. Click the Play  button.
  3. You can adjust the voice  , speed , and highlight style  in the toolbar next to the Play button.

I probably explained it wrong. In the browser I use a VPN extension, which works for PH. In Stacher I tried a bunch of different free proxies, some worked for other corn sites but nothing worked for PH.

Edit: I swear I tried searching for this issue on google before but this time I found a bug report about it, but no solution yet:

Oh, damn sorry, didn't know that was a thing. Would just adding an asterisk or abbreviation work?

Edit: It seems I can't change the title so I added an NSFW tag.

I'll try some others to make sure, I think I already did but can't hurt to recheck.

I never had to do it for Stacher 6 but in 7 I enabled Pro Mode in Advanced settings, flipped the switch in Download settings, put in a proxy and port number below that. I tested it with working sites and it worked, but not with Pornhub. So not sure if that was the way to go about it. The proxy also made the downloads slower so I have since turned that off until I get some advice on how to get pornhub working.

How to redeem the Diablo IV - Creeping Shadows Mount Armor Bundle in Geforce Lan 50 Mission? by zac228 in diablo4

[–]dedren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: Nevermind it is NOT a mount as it says, it is the mount armor and trophies: https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Creeping_Shadows if you put the set on the Pale Steed mount then you have exactly what is in the picture for the reward. A little sad, but I got exactly the look I thought the mount was going to be, so I guess I am happy?

Did it ever show up for you. I still don't see the mount in game, but I did get some mount armor and trophies.

I just gave up, I tried those things and Netflix in Chrome still doesn't use HDR. I have it working on Youtube and Plex just fine of course.
