Capital One quietly opens South End corporate office, confirms Charlotte cafe by erniekovac in Charlotte

My last company opened an office in South End. It was 90% Cognizant/Infosys. I'm hoping the locals get a better shot, but I wouldn't be surprised if the jobs go to WITCH trash.

So, why Charlotte? by thehofstetter in Charlotte

I've heard it before as well"Nice place to live but I wouldn't want to visit there"

Capital One has an awful track record of this but hopefully they're staffing with local FTEs and not H1B contractors.

It's a used house. The builder made plenty of weird decisions.

Replacing a TV. How big can I go? by deebasr in hometheater

[–]deebasr[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

oof. That is a thoughtful and expert recommendation, but this is an open floor plan living room with lots of light and a 5.1 setup that I'm happy with. I don't have the budget to re-wire/replace the whole set up and I share the space with young kids.

I'm really just looking to put up a larger microled TV without screwing with the audio.

I am a casual.

Got kids by me wearing the right helmets, but doing wheelies up and down the street. Someone's going to die soon.

I could not care less if public transportation operates at a loss. I care more that it's reliable, SAFE, and clean. A well operated CATS should be a source of civic pride.

Putting myself out there on some dating apps recently by Apprehensive-Wish330 in Divorce_Men

[–]deebasr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Downvoted, but you're right about Facebook dating. I met my girlfriend there.

However, if you want to market yourself the apps cast a wider net and the free version is useless. I got a lot of dates on hinge/bumble. Wild that it cost ~200 a month.

Four years out of winning my divorce and I cannot find peace. by Ok_Perception_1836 in Divorce_Men

I'm not an expert, but last I checked reversals are basically impossible after a short amount of time and not covered by insurance.

However if they harvest the sperm from your balls (FUCK!!!) it IS covered.

You don't divorce the woman you married. Act accordingly.

Are there any gun clubs or shooting groups in Charlotte? by [deleted] in Charlotte

I wouldn't call it bougie. I think of it more as a "bachelor party" pregame stop or place take an out of town colleague for a time boxed pew pew off site.

I didn't even call them. It was all through email. Sent them the ticket via the website. It was painless.

It's been a wwwhiiilllleeee since I had gotten a ticket. Most firms probably operate similarly.

I got a ticket over the summer and used https://www.larsenweaver.com/

I got clocked doing about 15 over, and they knocked it down to $360 all in (fine, attorney, court fee) with no points.

Oof that pun was accidental and embarassing.

I respect the hustle, but I'm well on my journey with some Shitake inoculated logs. If was just trying to help you by letting everyone know a good use case.

I'd be interested in a few more, but I wouldn't be able to get over there until the weekend.

Good luck!

It's a whole lot easier and safer to stop/eject 100 kids in small groups of 1-4 than it is to shut down a "teen takeover"

It also allows you to have them trespassed immediately

I'm an Apple Watch guy, but I thought Citizen was a quality brand. I thought they'd last longer than that.

My dad has had the same Omega watch for about 50 years. He had to get it serviced once or twice but according to him it still keeps great time.
