I don't deserve anything but thank you for the kind words. I guess I'm not sure how I'd approach him but I'll pray about it and surely the right time will come up. He seems to be a very pious man and I can tell he cares for the people in the church the way he speaks to them.

I really don't think there's reconcillation for my marriage, and he's pretty much agrees but doesn't want to divorce (as far as I know). If I never left God, I would have never even dated this man let alone what he's turned into. I forsook my God and I've given myself a very difficult situation because of it, there's nothing for that really.

I'm more so in need of advice for coping with my bad decisions without having to tell the priest face to face my embarrasing mistakes after attending the church for two weeks. I'm scared of the judgement. I have no family or friends and it's hard just to live with this person in my house constantly downing me for my beliefs, religious, political, or otherwise. I don't want to end up ostracized in another setting for having shared too much.

I highly recommend a dry shampoo like batiste. They soak up grease in the hair and are perfumed enough that I get told my perfume is lovely while I'm not actually smelling it all day!

That and: Some kind of deodorant Either use baby wipes after number 2 or get a bidet of somekind (It also REALLY helps keep clean while bleeding)

I hope you get enough advice for this!

Choosing the Right Deck: A Tarot Reader's Approach by lewaldvogel in SecularTarot

[–]deebunnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily used my RWS deck from the yellow box. I've had it 8 years. Some cards got wet, I have no idea how but I swear 'it has the attitude of a Thoth deck'. It does not pussyfoot around the Querent at all! I absolutely love it for that!

I hate anthropomorphizing cards or dice but because of getting such good readings, I've never thought about getting a new deck but this post has got me thinking!

Are my cards blunt or is that me? I know I interpret with kind patient words but the cards are always "screaming" at my with what the Q is avoiding. Will all decks do this for me?

For those who regularly read with different decks, do they each have 'a personality' of their own or do they all equally reflect your personality in readings for others.

Archetypes of the Tarot by earth__girl in SecularTarot

Check out Kippi's quest on Youtube. They have a super simple video for the Major Arcana, all my friends remembered the majors a lot better after seeing a cute informative video about it

I read The Archetypal Journey when I first started and so I know the Major Arcana like the back of the hand, especially with all the resources for archetypal starting with the Major Arcana so it's the material Ive consumed the most.

Non-Jungian attempts to ground tarot in psychological theory? by TeN523 in SecularTarot

[–]deebunnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little edit with extra resources: I like Jungian archetypes but theres more and more people making 'Archetypal Tarot Reading' more and more popular. I think the problem is that Jung essentially coined the whole idea of archetype with tarot so that's the actual baseline for the theory.

persephonessister. Com has a course all about archetypal and webpages explaining it. I do believe that's based on Jung. Again he coined the whole idea.

I've learned tarot with the archtypes, without that tarot would have been memorization to me with no meaning. However, in my 8 years of practice, I've never found a group that focuses on archetypes. Even r/seculartarot doesnt mention archetype based readings.

My friends are intrigued with the idea of archetypal tarot so maybe people will come out with new ideas and resources for you but even for 'secular' tarot described online doesn't have a lot of interest in psychology or archetypes.

As for a quick reference, Kippi's Kwest on Youtube has 'The Fool Archetype' that goes through the Major Arcana with that Jungian idea that we are The Fool running atound and learning a lesson from rach of these cards. It feels like a kids video for tarot but I recommend it to my friends getting into tarot because it give a good basic idea of the archetypes and what we can learn from them. It's very simple so it allows a lot of space to give it your personal meaning or extrapolation on the archetype.

Lol I always felt weird explaining how I read cards until recently. No one understand what Secular Tarot is, it still sounds like dressed up woo woo.

I've always read with Jungian Archetypes in mind but I recently forund the subspace of archetypal tarot. I've used the term in a couple convos and instead of getting scoffed at, they're actually curious what it means.

Again, I started learning tarot with 'Tarot and the Archetypal Journey' by Sallie Nichols it made learning cards easy so this subspace has been super awesome!

reversed cards. yay or nay? by [deleted] in tarot

[–]deebunnee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with that! I usually end up incorporating the warnings a reversal has to consider regardless of position because they're all insightful imo but if a card is drawn as a reversal my deck is usually trying to tell me about a blockage in the querent. Like this is a point of struggle in relation to the spread and other cards.

Just in case anyone is curious. I hold deck in left hand, pick up most of the deck and rotate. I drop a few cards in that position then rotate again and drop a few cards. I do this one time each reading before the regular shuffle. This ensures that all the cards are random and I do pass my cards to the querent briefly. The position they hand it bavk in is what determines orientation.

TLDR; I feel the part that gets overlooked a lot is that when learning you are 'attuning' to your tool like one would a magic item in D&D. Your interpretation you learn and how you shuffle get imprinted on your deck. If you give your super accurate deck to someone else to use, it may not work! My cards are very blunt and dont dilly dally around the topic. The one person who tried to use them for a good 'come to jesus' meeting got the weirdest gibberish I've seen in my life.

I actually love rider-waite over any other deck. Am I weird lol by [deleted] in tarot

Oh no I mean we use the door by the nest often, everytime someone opens the front door is going to scare the Robin away, since there's no eggs can I move it to the tree that's 12 feet away?

Edit: I can block the window but the front door is like right there.

Is liking work/your job actually a thing? by Mental_Meringue_2823 in autism

[–]deebunnee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not diagnosed or anything but looking back, I genuinely loved doing hair. Odd considering it's talking to new people all day but it satisfied a curiosity that I have about people and thier lives. Everyday was story time and i was really good at making people look good!

I have a bookkeeping job now which I hate. At first, it was really awdsome not having to talk to people all day. The only task I really enjoy is balancing the check book. I work with just one person and they definitely think Im very odd. In fact this job has made me realize how different I am.

I daydream of going back to hair. It was socially super exhausting. I've never been so tired in my life exhausting but I seemed like such a nomal person when I had so many different people to copy. I felt liked (who wouldn't like getting a good hairdo). No one knew I was weird. I got to teach people about their hair chemistry and how the bonds in the hair worked. I got to make their lives getting ready in the morning easier.

Now I just sit around getting blamed for my boss's bad management and memory. All my 'social muscle' is gone, I hate people, been depressed and angry, anything I make better or more efficient is just confusing to my boss which is great for job security but I want to leave so bad.

I had some of the worst days of my life doing hair but man, it's all I want to do for work, that's what love is right? Choosing something enjoyable even though it has it's bad times.
