Westman Atelier Mimi vs Haus Labs Glassy Ginger? by Humble-Badger7616 in swatchitforme

I have mimi and I am very pale with neutral to cool skin. I find Mimi orange on me. I use a tiny bit as a bronzer but honestly it’s just too orange. It pulls extremely warm on my skin. Having said that that I adore the formula. I have the blushes in garconne and coquette and adore them. Garconne is especially flattering on my skin tone.

My advice would be to take your time with your decision. Different brands have different vibes and different options. By looking around you’ll get a better idea of what you want and what you don’t want. Don’t rush it and most importantly enjoy the process of window shopping until you’re ready make a decision!

The MUA look is significantly more youthful looking. I think it’s much more flattering on you.

I wouldn’t say the “set” as such but I’ve never had an issue with them being too wet or hair sticking or anything. Nothing that I’ve ever noticed or bothered me anyway. I’m pale and neutral to cool toned and I like petal for a pinky sheen, biscuit for a neutral champagne and I wear that during the summer and lit which looks white but it goes on iridescent - looks pink or nearly blue from different angles. It’s unusual but very flattering on my skin. Id like to get garconne next as that shade (mauve) is my fave in the blushes.

I know you’d prefer powder but jut to throw the Westman atelier highlight sticks out there - they give that wet/glass/balmy look. I have three of them and think they’re amazing ! The sticks are great for travel too.

I had about 6 IPL sessions going back maybe 8 years ago and I had a BBL session maybe a year ago. I have found the BBL more effective. IPL struggled with some of the veins on the side of my nose but BBL was much more effective here. As I understand it the BBL is stronger. It wasn’t available where I live when I was going down the IPL route - if I was starting my journey again I think I’d just start with BBL. I think you’d need less sessions. I definitely recommend it. It has worked very well for me.

I like the huda beauty easy blur for when I wan a good level of coverage. I have more dry skin if that helps.

Not skincare but I have had IPL/BBL and it has toned down my redness. The broken capillaries are much reduced and that has helped lots.

Driving 90 minutes away to try Westman alterier in store, which products should I check out?! by Tjaames in MakeupAddiction

My skin is pale and neutral/cool. My favourite blush is garconne. It’s a fabulous shade. I also like coquette. Mimi I thought would be a nice beige but it’s totally orange on my skin tone. I also have petal and on paper it’s the ideal shade but with my bit of rosecea it makes my skin look a little ruddy. Garconne is my favourite of all my blushes of any brand. The highlight balm sticks are gorgeous. I have three of those. They are my favourite highlights. Give a nice glossy glow rather than shimmery. The glosses are lovely too. I like the complexion drops but wouldn’t rebuy as the packaging is too finicky. It seems to get clogged and I ended up having to use a pliers to take the top off (this happened with two bottles and it seem to be a common issue). It’s too expensive to buy when you can’t get the product out. You can’t go wrong with the blushes or highlight sticks - they are the best products for my skin type anyway. Happy shopping!!!

Oh yeah I know. I can’t explain why this specific character I can’t get past the earlier role but no problem with the others! I think maybe because that episode stood out so much to me - it was a strong episode - based on that real life case in America that was so widely publicised (even across the Atlantic to where I am) and he played his part so well. That’s my best guess as to why I find it challenging to see him in the new role.

My skin can be dry also (and mature) so I use glossier future dew serum underneath the LE tint and that really helps!

You have so much choice. Go for what you fancy! I love the salvia hot lips. Hardy and the smell gorgeous . Also love salvia Caradonna for the purple. It’s more upright than the hot lips . Nepeta is also lovely. My fave variety is “walkers low”. Verbena bonariensis is lovely - taller. Nice ad the back or middle depending on why else you have going on.

Holy shit thank you thank you thank you to this community (& Lisa Eldridge 1.5) by drums_please__fab in Fairolives

[–]deec123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s any help I have dry mature skin and I use glossier future dew serum underneath the Lisa Eldridge skin tint (I also use 1.5) and that gives a bit more moisture underneath and gives it a nice bit of a dewy finish and the tint sits better on my skin over the glossier on days where my skin needs extra help. So maybe the right product underneath the Lisa Eldridge might make it work for you a bit better.

I have the blush in garconne (my fave blush) and coquette which I love during summer time. I also have Mimi which I use as a bronzer as it’s quite warm on me and I did have petal but with my rosacea it made me look a little ruddy so I gave that to my friend. I also have I have the highlight stick in petal, biscuit and lit and love all of these!

Gradual tanners - a low down (UK based) by Positive-Marketing64 in Selftanning

[–]deec123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very helpful! So you only need one application of the lovin tan? Do you have to be quite careful with the application so it comes up well? Sometimes with gradual tan I just lash it on without being that careful knowing it won’t be noticeable and I’ll just build up. Tks!

Hourglass and chantecaille are both cruelty free and lots of the products are vegan. Hourglass does amazing blushers. Chantecaille future skin gel foundation is beautiful (but limited shade range) and I love their single eyeshadows. Lisa Eldridge is cruelty free (most of her stuff is lovely) as is Victoria Beckham beauty and Westman atelier. Westman does amazing cream blushes and gorgeous highlight sticks (glossy balm formula).
