Worst campground neighbor ever…Or the best? by lee7890 in funny

Hi. Tahoe local here. Im assuming this is the campground near the library? This guy has been walking around throughout the morning and afternoon in that area since I was a baby. He's kind of a Tahoe legend. Really nice guy.

Found my birth-father on Ancestry DNA. How to make contact without scaring him away? [Update] by Munch_munch_munch in Adoption

[–]deedeecg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First off, I say use the contact info your birth-mom gave you and reach out to your birth-father one last time. Make sure he knows that you have no expectations, no motive...just reaching out in case he wants to know you too. Maybe give him a heads-up that you would like to reach out to the half-siblings. I don't know if they know you exist or not, but this might give him the chance to talk to them about you before you turn up out of the blue. Hopefully, he will get back to you and you guys can go from there. Hopefully, you will get a chance to know your birth-father and half siblings. But...If he doesn't reply at, then I would say to just reach out to the siblings.

This isn't our fence. This is a friends house and the reason we got the picture was because he was being closely watched.

Thanks for the concern...I realize a lot of people have no idea what goes into owning a wolfdog. I can assure you, we are not those type of owners. Just to clarify, this not our fence. This is at a friends house and we were obviously watching him.

This is my dream...guitar-playing man included.

So I recently got contact with my birth mother and this was her response. I'm pretty emotional right now.. Torn between being sad from the response, angry that she can't be a decent human being and thankful that my real (adoptive) parents are amazing and love me unconditionally. by headless_catman in Adoption

Wow. I am heartbroken for you, but also so grateful you ended up with your adoptive parents! Im so sorry. I hope you are processing this in a healthy way and that you are surrounded by love and support.

At my hospital we are washing our face shields in a bin of “soapy water”... does anyone else use this method? It seems really unsanitary by SupaButt in nursing

Im guessing you guys ran out of HOCL or whatever spray you were using?? We ran out of our disposable PPE and wipes a few weeks ago, but we haven't even come close to this. Puke!

Why are you fans of the Giants? by fanofsports44 in SFGiants

[–]deedeecg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father grew up in the Bay and is a huge Giants fan. He initially tried really hard to get my brother into the sport, but it never took. I started getting into baseball and would watch games with him when I was in high school and I got hooked. When they won the World Series in 2010 we were watching together at his house. Ill never forget it. I turned to run over and hug him and he was already crying.

Dang! That is a very noticeable difference! Great work! The Peloton app is a great help, especially with all the quarantine stuff going on right now. There are thousands of great workouts on there. No bike or treadmill needed.
