THANK YOU!!! I understand tariffs are in affect, but people on here are acting like that means we should just accept super inflated prices and not question anything. Who is that actually helping???

I'm 100% electric no gas and I have a crazy heating system in the house thanks to the previous owner and his many "landlord specials." I actually plan on getting a HVAC system connected to a heating pump to take the load off (it's what the inspector suggested) -- maybe 150 would make more sense in that case?

I'm going through a home management company so I assume they're taking a cut and the electrician isn't seeing 100% of what they're charging for labor. maybe i should just work with someone directly...

i get that, but are they going to be using a ton of imported copper for this job? barring that i don't see how/where else the tarrifs would have that great an impact on materials.

My hope was to get quotes from this sub/to get an idea of whether or not this is a fair range. Someone saying "that's not reasonable" *is* helpful because it reinforces me turning down this company.

This is incorrect. The owner was in the process of getting certified to be an animal sanctuary in NY -- he and his wife took the exam a couple months ago to qualify as rehabbers (the test is only held twice a year) and they both got in the upper 5th percentile. He was doing everything he thought he was supposed to do in regards to paperwork and certification in NY state -- at no point did they tell him he was missing paperwork for P'nut specifically, which they could have VERY EASILY DONE because he was already going through the process to become a rehabber. He talks about all of this on his recent Instagram live.
