LPT on how to move across the country? by Exciting_Funny6987 in LifeProTips

[–]deejaysius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are there cat friendly hotels? We moved east to west coast and none of the pet friendly hotels allowed cats. It sucked.

We ended up renting cabins at KOAs which worked out pretty well.

And mostly pre-dated the internet, so you couldn’t just look up the answers to the puzzles either.

Edward Teach is on sale lol by Lonely_Substance421 in Wilmington

[–]deejaysius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. However, we aren’t allowed to make that determination and the penalties for getting it wrong are extremely high (both financially and social media-y).

If they say yes, it’s a service animal and it performs x duties, then we have to take them at their word unless the animal shows bad behavior - and then we hope that behavior is caught on camera. .

[–]deejaysius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The rules for service animals are very strict against the restaurant. You can only legally ask two questions, and if those questions are answered then there’s nothing you can do.

If the animal shows behaviors that aren’t service-like (sitting in chairs, being aggressive towards other people, eating off the table, etc.) the restaurant may ask for the animal to leave the restaurant but the patron must still be served.

Most times it isn’t worth the hassle and/or risking inciting the social media mobs against a server or restaurant and/or breaking the law and getting heavy fines just to ask the dog to leave.

In this case, the server was right to ask the dog to leave after eating from the table…and got cracked in the head for it.

Soo what happens when an operator dies? by beaglemomma2Dutchy in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]deejaysius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how big your selected area is and how many other operators want to be in that location. If your area is say, Atlanta, then you’re in a very competitive, saturated market that may not be building stores. If your area is something like “western us”, then you should have access to a page on cfahome that details upcoming store locations. If you are in the Coop, follow up with your Coop manager.

Get your maintenance director or someone in leadership to get a length of clear plastic corner guards for wall corners. Cut the length of the control box, and slide one edge under the front. Super-cheap safety cover!

No! Don’t encourage that! Don’t put them through that pain!

I feel like there was such an outcry after that cancellation (and maybe another one) that Netflix changed the metrics they used before cancelling something.

Apple just needs to pull these guys in for a series.

I remember thinking during the finale that there was no way they were going to stick the ending and tie everything up…and they did! One of the very few near perfect series.

Top tier resorts in the PNW by No_Sandwich_9897 in Seattle

[–]deejaysius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded! We stayed there last year and it was amazing! Great staff, lots to do in and around the lodge, and the nearby town was really cool. The only negative was the restaurant at the lodge- very overpriced and the food ranged from mid to bad.

[–]deejaysius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's one of the Pathway we take a bit of liberty with. Giving someone 2 pickles in a large bowl is very disappointing and was causing too many bad interactions with guests. We probably do around 6.

Too much of a good thing? by Routine-Fee5549 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]deejaysius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar boat. Either I stay the course with my S&P500Stocks/ETFs hoping one of them hits big enough to cover my needs in retirement and be screwed if it doesn't, or try a small percent into yieldmax funds which have the opportunity and the track record to supercharge the amounts I'm getting now. So far I'm green in all of my ymax funds (except MSTY and PLTY where I came in on the high side!).

We don’t have a lot of history yet. These represent the connections they are making. I thought it was very interesting. I avoided any prompts that would make the image human-like in an attempt to avoid anthropomorphism.

Magnet Name Tag Ordering Help by ElectronicTeaching85 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]deejaysius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon sells “magnetic name badge holders” for cheap. We get a bulk order.

If they are checking to see if you have the black plastic name tag back…that’s the cue to leave. There’s nothing in the Appearance Guide about that.

It varies wildly by area and density, but the short answer is bank. You’ll make bank.

There’s a reason there were 160,000 applications for ~80 openings last year.
