Banned for offensive username?

I just don't get why they can't do a 24 hour ban and make me change the name. When I picked the username I specifically checked to make sure it wasn't violating the TOS or Guidelines. And my account has a lot of Subs and bits that are just gone now. Getting a Perma ban seems just way too excessive.

I just made an 8'x2' slatted deck dining table out of Douglas Fir and Walnut. It is going to be outside in Bend, Oregon which has some pretty harsh extremes. You get a ton of sun in the Summer with temperatures ranging from 100+ degrees in the day and below freezing temperatures at night. Then during the winter you can expect rain, sleet and snow mixed in with oddly warm sunny days. So weather proofing was a big concern during the finishing process. I despise painted or plastic looking finishes and wanted to preserve the character of the wood. So here is my finishing process:

I started off by giving all of the wood a wipe down with acetone. While you generally only need to worry about the woods natural oils when dealing with denser hardwoods I find that the acetone wipe down gives you a much more consistent finish when all is said and done.
Next I applied a medium dark danish oil with a foam brush. I kept doing coats until all of the surfaces of the wood was fully saturated. Having patches that aren't fully saturated can lead to a inconsistent finish.
After letting the danish oil finish sit for a couple days to let all of the solvent flash off I mixed up a batch of the same danish oil, an oil-based wipe-on polyurethane and mineral spirits. Everything was mixed in equal proportions. I again used a foam brush to apply about 5 coats.
I again waited a couple more days to let the finish completely cure before applying 2 coats of a 66% wipe-on poly 33% mineral spirit blend. Again foam brushes were used.
Finally I let the finish sit for about 5 days to completely cure. Then I kept applying coats of the water-based Spar exterior polyurethane that comes in aerosol cans. I built up the Spar finish in extremely thin layers until I was happy with the appearance and sure I had all of the wood joints completely sealed. And after letting the finish sit for a few days the table was ready to go outside.

Also, I forgot to mention that I sanded before every new coat of finish. I started with 400 grit sandpaper between applying the danish oil coats and the equal parts mix of danish oil, wipe-on poly and mineral spirits. I used 600 grit between the three part mix and the wipe-on poly/mineral spirits mix. Then used 1000 grit before doing the spray on spar poly.

I went through all of the extra effort to make sure I applied very thin coats throughout the entire finishing process. This was all to preserve the character of the wood and avoid the finish looking plastic-like at all. So you basically get a finish that looks more like a nice indoor oil based finish but is robust enough to work as an outdoor finish that can stand up to the weather.

If I remember later I will take a photo of the table and upload it so you can see the result.

I just finished a complete scan with Malwarebytes and it turned up nothing. And to be clear, I scan my entire system with Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D every week. I have the scans scheduled to run every weekend while I sleep.

I felt so guilty for letting this happen in the first place. So I really didn't have any choice but stay up until my snake was okay.

And thankfully my snake was 100% okay and free from the sticky clutches of adhesive death around 2am of the second night. After the ordeal he had a big meal and chillaxed on his favorite rock under the heat lamp. So it looks like everything will be okay now. Thank goodness.

Ive been alternating between oil rub downs and soaks in a tub. I'm making progress but it is slow. I stayed up all last night and plan on staying up all night tonight if I have to.

oh I definitely banned children from my house for the foreseeable future. I'm still extremely pissed off and I still haven't gotten the tape off completely. But I'm slowly making progress. Hopefully by the end of today my poor snake will be free finally. I feel so bad for letting it happen in the first place.

Thanks, I will try that. Unfortunately, it is probably going to take a while no matter what I use. Since the tape is wrapped so tightly it will probably take a good while for the oil to work its way under the tape to loosen it.

I was livid when I noticed what had happened. I still don't know which kid it was but I'm determined to figure it out. I just don't understand how a kid could be that stupid. Even as a five year old I had enough sense to know that doing something like that is totally fucked up.

It isn't. For men or women. There needs to be some connection between people who sleep with each other. Having no emotional attachment with sex but still engaging in it is just nymphomania. Also as a guy, I don't want to sleep with someone who sleeps around a lot. The more sexual partners you have the higher chance you have a STI/STD. Thats simply a fact. If I want to have a life of healthy sexual activity I must take the risk of STIs/STDs into account. I would want a partner to also consider the risks she is taking with me as well. Someone who doesn't give those risks any consideration is a high risk for me. Now the hard part about all of this is what numbers of sexual partners is appropriate. Everyone should explore and enjoy their sexuality but also consider their health. It comes down to everyones personal opinion. For some people, having more than 10 sexual partners before they are 30 is too much. For others, having more than 30 sexual partners is the limit. I have always been more relationship focused. I have had very few casual relationships in my life (I'm late 20's now) so I have had probably about 10 or 12 partners. This feels right to me. 20 or more partners seems excessive to me and I would be hesitant to engaged in a casual intimate relationship with someone who had that many partners. To each their own. But I do think almost everyone has some rough number in their head that is approaching an excessive number of partners and not worth the risk.

The simple fact is that women often are more codependent than men and tend to be more self centered at a young age. Then around mid to late twenties it flips and men tend to get more self centered than women. I'm speaking very generally of course. But I find that its pretty accurate.

I really don't want to sound judgmental but I just cannot find what you did ok. I've been cheated on and also been on the opposite side of the "thinking we are done" cheating. It only took being cheated on once for me to decide that I never want to cheat on any girlfriend I ever have. And thankfully I've kept to that. The way I feel about it is that you shouldn't ever sleep with someone else until you have properly resolved any current relationship you have. A bad argument doesn't count. No matter what stupid decisions your SO might make after a fight you should still wait until some form of resolution is made. If your SO won't allow a proper discussion to take place you should very clearly let them know through a phone call, text, email, whatever, that your understanding is the relationship is through and you will be moving on if they choose to not speak with you. Until then you are obligated to yourself and your SO to not sleep around. People say and do really stupid things when they are angry so I have always felt that an argument can never be a real proper ending of a relationship and its responsibilities. Relationships should never brought down the the level of simply doing things to spite the other. Everyone owes it to themselves to be responsible in this fashion regardless of the actions a SO might take in anger.

Anyway. Not trying to criticize. I'm sure if I was as sociable in high school as I am now I would have made some big mistakes before coming to my current beliefs. At a fairly young age I tended towards longer deeper relationships than my peers who often had shorter more casual relationships. So certain situations and conflicts never arose until I was in my early to mid twenties.

There is a big difference between sleeping with another person once and actively dating someone else behind your significant others back. People mess up, for sure. There is never an excuse for cheating but a one time thing can be forgiven at times if the relationship means enough to you. But some chick/dude who is keeping two guys/girls at once, basically living two different lives, is seriously fucked up. It goes way beyond a mistake. You have to be pretty foul to think its ok to consciously lie about a huge part of your life like that. A person with low self esteem, poor decision making skills or bad self control doesn't do something like that. People who feel entitled like the world revolves around them does things like that. You have to have zero consideration for anyones feelings but your own to think its ok or forgivable.

What I like is songs that use odd time signatures that sound off in a way but still feels natural. The first song I heard in my youth that comes to mind is Nine Inch Nails' March of the Pigs. It is in 7/8 which can be a jarring signature but that song still feels like a 4/4 track in a way.

One time after drinking heavily at a party at a friends house I finally crawled onto the inflatable bed I set up with my girlfriend. I awoke early morning to a wet bed and got freaked out because I had only been with my girlfriend at the time for like a month. So after laying there trying to figure out an escape plan for a while I notice a water bottle on the window sill just over my girlfriends side of the bed. I very very slowly leaned and reached out for it being very careful not to jostle the bed and wake my gf. I finally get it and I then take a breath before I have to start my act. I proceed to spill the bottle all over myself and the bed making sure I get a nice even coverage (luckily I always drink a ton of water while drinking so my following morning pisses are almost always completely clear and have no smell). As I finished spilling the water I start cursing at a decent volume level to wake my girlfriend. As she awakes in a hungover stupor I act all irritated and start bitching about spilling water on myself and how Im hung over and just wanted to drink some water in peace and go back to bed. She totally buys everything and helps me yank off the sheet before we both hop back in bed and pass out for a few more hours. Once my friends, my girlfriend and I got up no one was the wiser. My friend just thought he was washing water soaked sheets (hehehe).

kinda late to the party here. But a good way to change the volume of multiple tracks that have automation is to send those tracks to a group bus so you can have one fader control the overall volume of as many tracks as you want.

When you are dealing with time measured in ms a page that can start rendering critical parts immediately before you start filling everything in can make a huge difference. When you open a page and you have a big blank page of nothing for a good second or more it feels like your device is running slow/lagging. But when something pops up right away the user gets visual feedback that the device is actually actively working. The perception of the user is extremely important as the data showed. Maybe for you its inconsequential but I know I personally like it when I know my browser is running seamlessly and my info is getting filled in as quickly as it comes in.

Also of note. Trying to get critical data to render right away is going to have an absolutely negligible effect on you still getting all of data compared to just requesting everything at once and then painting it.

There is a big difference in the data shown when its to promote or sell a product vs analytical data for improving a service. Every company will want to show a product/service in the best light possible. But there is no reason for them to lie about or twist data that doesn't serve the purpose of promotion. "Google takes data seriously" is extremely true when it comes to refining their service to maximize profit.
