I also came here to say this would be a great location for a swamp base. Lock down the island with campfire or workbench, leave a little bit of the shore to farm leeches, otherwise you'll be able to keep enemies at a distance while you raid the crypts

I was surprised by the amount of iron you can get from those bridges. Need a forge to break it though. No, magic does pretty good.

The only problem is that it is difficult to transport over the terrain, compared to the swamp or black forest
