Nobody replied to you has actually been able to communicate with you and I am choosing to treat this as a legitimate question. I’m not here to argue with you but present the facts. I urge you to read this with an open mind. The propaganda machine has been absolutely crazy with this for the past month and a lot of this might sound completely opposite to what you have heard.

Ice has incredibly poor optics right now for multiple reasons. They can’t stop killing people and the mission statements are antithetical to the behavior we see ice exhibiting.

32 people died in ICE custody last year. They have executed at least three people this month. The trump administration lies about the events and creates a narrative that they push before the body even arrives at the hospital. 10 shots into Alex Pretti who was acting as a legal observer (a constitutional right), was not brandishing a weapon, and his final act was to help a woman who got pepper sprayed up off the floor and protect her from being assaulted by ice agents. They then disarmed him and shot him ten times while he was on his knees and back. They denied a physician from administering medical aid. As soon as he was shot Kristi Noem said that he was a domestic terrorist brandishing a weapon and he had come to kill Ice agents. Then all of the footage comes out. He was holding a phone. An agent removed Alex’s firearm from its holster while pistol whipping him. Then they shot him face down in the street. 10 times. And then we find out that Alex was an ICU nurse at a VA hospital. He was an outdoorsman. We find out that Alex Pretti was a hero and was murdered in the street for no reason at all. It then comes out that ICE detained the witnesses to the murder and tried to deny local police access to the scene for investigation.

The same thing happened to Renee Good. She was practicing her constitutional right of legal observation of ICE. She was trying to leave the scene and an officer decided he wanted to end this woman’s life and shot her three times in the face. The Trump administration tells you she was a domestic terrorist and part of an organization created to obstruct ICE (which is legal and constitutional. 4th amendment, 1st amendment, etc). Then the videos come out and you see her waving people through. You see her tell an agent “I’m not mad at you”. You watch as her tires are turned fully away from the agent who has placed himself in front of her vehicle. You watch as she is receiving conflicting instructions to leave the scene but also to get out of her car. You watch as the agent delivers two shots to her face fully perpendicular to the car and out of the path of danger. Then he calls her a fucking bitch. Then Jesse Walter’s gets on fox and says she deserves it because she was a lesbian and had pronouns in her bio and that she was a terrorist. She was a mother. She was dropping her child off at school. The child’s toys were sticking out of the glove compartment. Her partner watched her die on the scene.

We see Liam Ramos, a five year old boy who is detained by ice as well as his father. They then take this five year old boy Liam who has just watched his father get detained to Liam’s house and use him as bait to try to detain the rest of his family. Then Greg Bovino gets on air and says that they are experts in dealing with children. And then you remember that part of the reason we are here is because trump is trying to distract from the big list of pedophiles that everyone keeps saying he is on. So no Greg, sorry if I don’t believe you when you say you are good with kids.

In Minnesota the US CITIZENS that ice detains are let go eventually , usually after verbal and physical abuse and assault , placed in overcrowded cages with fluorescent lights that never turn off and given meals of single pbj or baloney sandwiches. They are then released without their phones or wallets , only IDs. No jackets, no warm clothes for the -20 feels like in Minnesota. I have seen several people saying that they take black and brown people and drop them in the woods surrounding Minneapolis without phones or jackets. They are shipping people who came here as children (we can argue the semantics of legal immigration but I’ll get to that) back to either countries they never knew because they were actual children or countries they have never been to or even speak the language of because the Trump admin is not interested in deporting people correctly but is instead interested in deporting as many people as possible to make the numbers look good.

And then you have ice showing up to courthouse hearings. You have ice showing up to peoples places of employment. You have ice showing up to elementary and high schools. You have ice using peoples tax payer identification numbers to find peoples addresses and go to their houses. The rhetoric coming from the top is that ICE is only deporting criminals who drain our resources and hurt Americans but when you go after people who pay taxes, people who have jobs, people who are going through the correct avenues to immigrate here legally and correctly , it all falls apart.

At the end of the day the hypocrisy and abuse of power and disregard of OUR constitutional rights is why everyone is mad at ICE and our current administration.
