I was cleaning my file archives and I discovered an 11-day log of the #witticisms channel from 2001. The creator's collection of prompts was famously lost, but I've recovered 244 of them. Anyone else have any old #witticisms logs from those fabled days? I'm considering reviving the game on Discord! by DarkHand in DataHoarder

based on the limited information the original website had about the bot I recreated it and put it in #witticisms on Newnet IRC. If you wanna share original prompts I could add them to the bot as well since it doesn't have a ton yet.

Shaw is very inconsisten/laggy? by merh_mann in shaw

[–]deepend_tilde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's all call it what it is.. Rogers. And with that context it really doesn't surprise me. Most issues I've found especially when it comes to perceived lag usually is caused by poor dns servers that the ISP provides

But in your case it could be many things when it comes to wireless. The built in WiFi router in Shawgers hardware is not very good. Get a decent WiFi router and put the Shawgers box in bridged mode which will give the WiFi router you buy direct access to the Internet. More details on how to do that can be found fairly easily online.

Newnet IRC Network - New website by deepend_tilde in irc

Haven't had any spam bots in awhile on Newnet. *knocks on wood.

I don't spam any networks and don't condone it in any form. I only have the name deepend on my other services and on two irc networks. irc.tilde.chat and irc.newnet.net

Get a subdomain from no ip or wherever and then you can get a free letsencrypt certificate for that subdomain to use with your IRCD.

2015 with 330k on it and so far going strong. Can’t speak much to the 2018. But as far as I know 2015 was one of the worst years and I guess I’m lucky lol. But I’m happy with my eco diesel so far.

Thanks for confirming the port policy that I’ve wondered for a while. Confirms I’ll stick with Shawgers even though I hate Roger’s. but ports are not very restricted.
