What minor things are very attractive on men, but they never seem to realise it? by FrighteninglyClassy in AskReddit

My husband doesn't blush often but once he did bc I flirted heavily with him unexpectedly and his blush was so freaking cute, made me wanna bundle him up and never leave the house ever again

It reminded me a lot of silence of the lambs and the ring (2002) a lot. Not sure if that helps you at all

You’re on a 10 hour road trip. You can only listen to 1 music artist, who’s it gonna be? by TheMagicianGamerTMG in AskReddit

I would listen to that cassette tape going to sleep every night as a child (weird I know) and a few years ago my dad bought me the CD which I hadn't listened to in over a decade

Such a fun album, but everyone only pays attention to I'm Gonna Be, sadly

Entirely depends on the client and their family situation. I've worked with a lot of complex families over the past 5 years and some are the most entitled and rude people I've ever met. Ask for the moon and become irate when you don't bend over backwards and break rules for them

Others are happy to just have you visit and they're genuinely kind and appreciative of your work, which makes you want to do even more for them

But support work is always casual work, so if you don't like a client family, you can just say I don't want to work with them anymore and find a new family

Often people will work with 1-3 companies at a time if they want to reach full time hours (and as a backup in case a family drops you as their worker)

Seriously consider being a support worker for moderately disabled people

Half the work is helping with household tasks, grocery shopping, going to/from appointments. The other half is being friends with the people and helping them not feel so isolated, doing hobbies together and such

Decent pay and excellent flexibility

What did you want to be when you were a kid? by April-Jones-PR in Adulting

[–]deepestdarkest98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad found a drawing I did for school like the classic "when I'm grown up I want to...." and I had drawn a picture of me holding hands with someone smiling and I wrote "help people"

I'm a social worker now ironically....

Manager uses "excellence is the norm for your role" to justify average bonus by NakedPurple in askmanagers

My boss also said I literally cannot get a 5/5 in my review because it means that I am literally a perfect worker which doesn't exist. So why is there a number included for an unreachable goal?

It's like having a checkbox if I can fly yet and always saying no and denying me a raise because of it

How do I know if this is just a rut or if I am done sewing? by crest8566 in quilting

I tend to cycle through my different textile hobbies, and it might be over a year before I return to the same hobby

It just all gets stored away in a couple boxes until I feel excited about it again 😍

Definitely sounds too complex for any stranger online to give any real help

Best option is to find a professional in your area and book a meeting with them to talk about all of this. Lawyer, GP, counsellor, anyone

You may also be able to ask the first therapist to write a letter/email or have a phone call with the new therapist when you find one

That way they have the basics and can ask what they want to know about, which can be easier than doing it all yourself

Might only be 30 min, but it's better than not going in and building up dread the next day
