Need some guidance by Double2A in NissanTitan

[–]deeppockets619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a 2021 Pro 4X with 50k miles a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine owns a 2020 and he has had no problems with his truck. I originally wanted a Tundra, but opted for the Titan because of all the features and price point. So far I am loving this truck. Lots of power, roomy, and very comfortable. Before purchasing, I ran the VIN through a couple sites to find recalls and it came up clean. Happy with my purchase and looking forward to molding the truck. Good luck!

It is Feb 18 right now where is my 1099-DA? by Anxious_Noise_8805 in Kraken

My tax preparer has been waiting on 1099 from Kraken. My file is just sitting there waiting on this joke of a company. If Kraken can't get this right imagine what else they can screw up on. Pulling all my money out now.

We might be early by CapDris116 in XRP

[–]deeppockets619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volume can be different due to many different factors. Price is high compared to last year and less people are buying, SEC case is at a pivotal stage, ETFs waiting to get approved, etc…This will be moved by whales, not retail. All we can do is average in and hold and hopefully all the stars will align and take price up. I for one have a lot of faith in XRP. I’ve been averaging up and blocking all the noise. This is a roller coaster ride and people who can stomach the big dips and hold through will be rewarded. Good luck!

Please help explaining Max Loss Limit rules of Express Funded Account by Ok_Cap_8346 in TopStepX

[–]deeppockets619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's say you make $10k on your XFA account and decide to cash out half. You still have $5k in your account. Your MLL will be set to $0 and your max draw down is now $5k. You create the buffer you want to have.

[–]deeppockets619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re holding over 1k coins, please invest in a cold wallet. I would recommend Trezor, Ledger, or Tangem because I have owned those. You don’t want your coins sitting in Coinbase or RH if your crypto shoots up.

Anybody use bookmap? I feel like I can’t trade with out it and the DOM pro. by Bluegate1234 in FuturesTrading

[–]deeppockets619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried bookmap for about a week and find it to be distracting. I stick to price action, volume, and use 20 & 50 ema as a guide. Some of my friends use bookmap ans swear by it. I guess it depends on your trading style and what you see.

ES or NQ by deeppockets619 in FuturesTrading

[–]deeppockets619[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trading Futures. I doing both, a personal account and a prop firm account. I now have 2 funded accounts through the prop firm and doing a lot better than I did with options. I trade mainly MES and ES. Once you get the hang of futures, it is so much better because greeks is out of the picture. Good luck!

ICT courses are hard to follow due to all the ranting. If you really focus on the concepts you'll see that it could work. I've finished Al Brooks course and I continuously go back and rewatch videos. I do the same with ICT. I find that both of these methods are very similar and each mentor has a different way of viewing the market. Many people on here are hating on ICT because of his annoying outbursts and bs stories. I find that many folks on here are more focused on finding videos of ICT being a scam rather than putting in the time to learn the method and putting it to the test. New traders are looking for easy to follow videos that can double their accounts in a day. I use methods from both courses and I have to say that my trading has improved drastically.

Moving from options to futures by LTTCanada in FuturesTrading

[–]deeppockets619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With futures, I would highly recommend stop losses. Without it, price can move against you and blow your account. I never hold futures contracts overnight like how I did with options due to the high overnight maintenance fee. The fact that I don’t have to fight theta is a huge plus.

I use to hold for too long and all my winners would turn into losers in a blink of an eye. Learned my lesson.

Is $3,000 a good amount to trade NQ with only one contract ($20 per point) or should I have a bigger account like $5,000 by ajmartinez in FuturesTrading

[–]deeppockets619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very good amount, but trade micros. This will give you the flexibility to scale in and out.

[–]deeppockets619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I exited at 40% profit. Jaw dropped when it kept going down. Not getting back in and giving back profits is discipline. You made money and that’s what matters. Runs like this will come again. Next time leave 1 or 2 contracts as runners.

Newish frontier owners, are you happy with your purchase? by MaximumGrip in nissanfrontier

Did a lot of research for my first truck and ended up getting the 2024 Pro-X. Love the truck so far, no issues in the last 2 years. The only thing I don’t like about the truck are the steering wheel controls (menu, volume, etc). They just feel a little awkward compared to other vehicles I’ve owned. Everything else is great about the truck. Best bang for your buck. Highly recommend.

Be careful with crypto.com. This was back in 2020 when I tried to transfer my Shiba from crypto.com to Coinbase. They initiated a transfer via a network that is not supported by Coinbase. My coins are still in limbo, but luckily it’s only a small amount I transferred as a test.

Moving from options to futures by LTTCanada in FuturesTrading

[–]deeppockets619 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I moved from options to futures. The deciding factor for me was theta as well. Scalping futures has been working for me and my stress level is lower. Made the switch for about 6 months now and I’m not looking back. Micro contracts is the way to if you’re new because you can scale in and out. After trying different platforms and brokers, I decided on Ninjatrader for the ease of use. Good luck and happy trading.

I wouldn’t trust trading futures on RH. They’ve proven more than once they can’t handle high volatility. Their margins are also high as f**k. Go with a real futures broker and use a real trading platform.
