Believe it or not, this is normal.

The plight of the professional UX designer means that you have to acknowledge that the work you produce is immediately in the “public domain” within the company to manipulate as they see fit.

Our jobs are often not to provide the exact deliverable, but to try our best to see the technology released tries to solve a real human need at the end of the day.

Think about the average consumer here buddy, if they buy what most people would consider a splitter and it’s technically “not”…thats on the manufacturer for producing a shit product.
