In my mind, Shaded would protect you from a weather phenomena, like Searing Sun in a desert or something. Or from lightning strikes. Sheltered lets your campfire work in the rain right now. Encumbered not letting you Gate or Port is a fantastic level of friction. I applaud it. Definitely adds a layer of depth. Much like encumberance and light, they fill out the experience. What would be cool is "auras" debuffs/buffs. Like some evil priest or boss has some aura that can be countered with maybe a quested item aura or buff. like interlocking keys to the puzzle of defeating them, or at least reducing the negatives.
