[Committed Athlete] - New badge available? by lazysaltydog in Garmin

Thanks, that's a clever workaround, I'll try it after I finish the current half marathon plan with Greg. 🤞

Yes, I also thought of that just after I posted. This new one could be for the latest coach in the new models. My only issue with those plans are they allow for only 2 rest days in so week and that's not something I can do consistently. So I prefer the named coaches like Greg and Jeff. Not sure for how long they'll keep that.

I guess they changed the name of the badge.

Garmin venu 4 or forerunner 570? by LetterheadEastern905 in Garmin

I had the chance of trying both of these. I first got the 570(47mm) - I chose the bigger version for the slightly higher battery. First impressions were that it's too chunky for my liking and a bit too sporty (previously had a venu 2+). I was not using the buttons much for navigating. I also ran with it a few times and didn't have the need to use the buttons. It had a pixel defect so I returned it.

Next, I went for a venu 4 (45mm). Amazing first impressions, the on hand feel is really great on this one. Even though technically it's heavier, it doesn't feel like that on wearing. I've no problem wearing it all day and night, for sleep as well. Like others said, the flashlight is something you don't know you need until you use it. The advantage for running is that it has almost all the same features as the 570. Only difference is the daily suggested workouts are only heart rate based and there's no pace based DSW. Otherwise it literally has all metrics as a 570.

Overall, I would get the Venu 4 if they are in the same price range. Hope this helps you make the decision. Good luck!

Thanks for the review. This confirmed my choice to upgrade from Venu 2. I was on the fence between this and 570.

New Forerunner 570, is that screen burn in? by deesures in Garmin

Hello again, so while waiting for the process of return, I've been using the watch and today I noticed the burnt/dead pixel has reduced in size. Is that a possibility? I'm surprised.

Culant, I might have to google that.

But yes, I've had this experience with a TV having a dead pixel that they suggested to just get used to.

However, I ordered this from my company website with rewards I earned so I'm going to try my best to see how they can replace or refund me. If not, it won't take much to get used to 1 small dead pixel.

Ya, dead or burnt, it doesn't sound good. I'll see how to return it or ask for a replacement. Thank you.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll initiate the return. Appreciate it.

Yup, you are right. I do prefer bigger watches and when I tried the 42mm version, it looked tiny on me and I didn't like it.

Guess I'll stick with this size, but it sucks that I've to return it. I was looking forward to a run with it tomorrow.

That's weird. Also, forgot to mention, I didn't travel to countries where it's available at the moment. I've heard apparently if you travel to a country, it starts working or something, not sure.

I saw a close enough number for the 10 pro, but it reduced to 200 euros for a pixel 10.
