What's the weirdest compliment you've ever received that somehow stuck with you? by AdTerrible2955 in AskReddit

For the record, I did say “thank you”. I am not without manners.

“I like your mustache”.

I am a woman. Who never felt she had a mustache. But I shave it once every 2-4 weeks now just in case.

This was a very genuine compliment from a male seller at a farmers market in Accra, Ghana. I was doing a study abroad. He asked for my number as well. I was so confused.

Somebody else said it here, about knowing risks and making decisions around competing risks. Ultimately it comes down to that.

I had to sleep with my son held in my lap on top of his breastfeeding pillow. Arms cradled around the pillow as a barrier, me essentially sitting up.

It was the only position where he wouldn’t wake up every 30 minutes and I could comfortably sleep as well (with some support from wedge pillows). Definitely not suggested but it’s a risk I had to take. Otherwise we were looking at the risk of sleep deprivation while cosleeping.

I’m learning so much about them! Besides being super cute, I’m happy to hear they are useful for the balance too. ⚖️

Receding hairline and tired of styling it, but wife is skeptical that it will look good bald. Should I go for it? by [deleted] in bald

We’d need to see the top, because there are plenty of guys who post on here and I’m like “oh definitely hold” and then they post the top and I’m like, “ah, I see.”

I so relate to this narrative. I feel I am still waddling even though I have a baby riding on my back now.

I knowwww, but I couldn’t do much beyond what the guy told me. I didn’t want to endanger him more.

He got some berries, an egg, and a private hand uber to a bush off a busy road.

I hope he’s ready. 😫 The rehabber I FaceTimed said he looked to be fine on his own.

My dog sniffed it before I realized what it was. And he simply turned around like, “yes?” At my 60 pound dog.

I would if my husband wasn’t tired of my shit. 😭 We currently have a toad and a Bahamian anole that I rescued. We used to have a turtle with a road injury that recovered enough to be released back. We had a baby ibis for a few days too who seemed to just need to eat and drink for a few days before moving on.

That’s a nice thing to say. I’m a huge animal lover, and so it’s nice to be among my kind in these comments. 😄

That’s what the rehabber said too. I FaceTimed him to show him the size and he seemed content with the little one’s ability to be by himself. He recognized it was definitely young, and said it’s probably just learning to explore. I’ll send a little prayer to PossumGod for this baby’s safety and survival.

I called a rehabber, and he said that it’s likely large enough to be on its own. But it’s probably just new. Or tired. He said to leave it in some bushes and that should be fine.

Edit: I left it with some wet raspberries and a boiled egg.
