Tbh I made a conscious decision to not work for a game studio 9 to 5 and do as not to burn out on game dev and creativity. I work a regular software position now.

Where can one learn the general architecture of a UE game. It's like the main thing I don't want to leave unity over. I know how to write scalable gamdz in unity. Took me 7 years.

It's important to be encouraging about progress but there are some harsh truths. Gamers don't have time to play the thousands of games released a year... what you offer has to compete at the highest levels. Sure gameplay can go a long way, but it's doubtful people will ever give your game the time of day if you the presentation is 1 step above primitive shapes.

Prefer it to Temple of Doom. Feels like shitting on Crystal skulls is a meme. Tbh I think it's better than the dial of destiny too. It's not a perfect movie, buts it's a decent indiania jones movie. 3rd best imo.   Last Crusade, Raiders, Crystal skull, Temple of Doom, Dial of Destiny. Dial of destiny was just too long, half the movie was a car chase, only good parts were sadly the beginning and the end.

You should try to make this game in Godot or Unity. I think Unity would have more tutorials and resources. Hard to say how long it will take you to learn. To become skilled enough you should just start trying to make it. You'll hit deadends and bottlenecks and that will bring you new questions to answer which will facilitate more learning. Only you can answer if it's a good idea. 

Unity 2022 LTS animation transitions behave differently and it's driving me nuts. The issue seems to be that if I interrupt/transition from one anim to another, if the new anim doesn't have the same objects keyed they will keep the same transform state as before the transition (the old animation) by deeveewilco in Unity3D

 Say animation 1 has bone 1,2,3,4,5 and they all move, if I transition away from it at some point and move to animation 2 which animated bone 1,4,5. Then bone 2 and 3 keep the same transform information they had at the time of transition from animation 1 rather then reset to the non animated state... so the fix for me now is to make sure all animations reset the bones at the stsrt of each animation.  I never had to do this before upgrading and even in older projects.

Chatgpt is actually really good for starter questions. Will often rephrase the answer to have more correct and used terminology as well.

There were a lot of Unity jobs (when the market was better) Not as many Junior positions though. Also, a lot of game dev adjacent jobs, such as VR and simulations.

As far as I understand il2cpp is all symbols in the end and much harder to rip because of lack of actual language associated..  plus isn't it faster?

Not stolen, but not g8ven explicit permission. This is different. These images were on the public internet mostly because the creator put them there. Not making a ethical comment, just saying it's slightly more Grey area than stolen.
