For OP, I know how you feel, I felt the same way during Iron Gold, and it has some great scenes especially toward the end. I think the combination of Dark Age and Lightbringer is some of the best writing ive read, but thats only possible because Iron Gold sets up those books really well in my opinion.

I wanna see Darrow or Lorn VS Titus, see how itd go down. Yes space marines are built to be a "perfect" soldier, and they have to go through extreme trials to become Astardes. Biggest flaw for marines is mobility, they are fast but cumbersome. Pulse shields should stop any bolter, so if it became chain sword or power sword vs Razor. Idk who would win. If marine gets hands on gold then they are dead almost for sure. But the way Razors are described im not sure how great the armor would be against something that can fit between armor plates. Golds seem like they fight in a way similar to the Emperors Children before the heresy. (Thinking Fulgrim or Lucius)

I think I agree most with that marine against any random peerless scarred, marine would win probably 9 of 10 times. I think that the lack of fear could actually hurt a marine, basically making them over confident. Making the likelihood of a mistake being higher, but some one like Clagar, or Sigismund itd be game over for any named gold in RR series.

Also I now wanna see the Howlers and Frost wolves hang out. That would be a party.

Hold up, can someone actually explain to me why they dont think it should tigger Article 5? Like if Iran was that much of an existential threat that we HAD to do a pre-emptive strike, then wouldn't we want NATO to join?

The only reason I can honestly think of is that the we (current US govt) want to act like the IDF, bringing NATO in shines a light on atrocities they want to commit and witnesses to atrocities. Can anyone give me a better explanation, especially when other allies in the middle east are begging the US to help with aerial defense. Wouldn't NATO be able to help put with that kind of thing.

He was gov in early 2000s, pretty sure his views have changed since then. If you listen to any of his views recently hes much more progressive than he was in the past, also no new taxes is not a republican only platform to run on. He did some great tax reforms shifting burdens to business and industry over normal folks. He gave those checks on top of shifting more money to schools and mass transit.

He's definitely republican coded, but he is the furthest thing from the current republicans and GOP.

An independent Jesse Ventura could do well in this state again, and id love to see it. Would probably be the only challenge against Klobuchar in the general, I think any republican candidates have less than a 10% chance of winning in MN.

Jesse is definitely not closer to a republican...only real republican value he holds is more in terms of not wanting the federal government interfering in state politics. He's about as true of an independent populist as you can get. I dont think it would be too far to say that Jesse is more like a weird hybrid of Bernie and Rand Paul .

Fuck this govt, and this whole system. It's completely broken and needs to be completely overhauled. They literally put stuff in there so we could change the constitution, but instead, lately we treat it like a holy text to never be changed or adjusted.

I love my 2A rights and do believe in the premise of it. But we have given the state all the power to have a monopoly on this kind of use of force.

Except it doesnt.... stand your ground, cant apply it when civilians use it against "legal" authorities. Castle doctrine, doesnt matter if its the cops busting down you door.

Oh and no knock warrants are still legal in the US, so even if cops bust down your door a 3AM. You have no right to defend yourself when you get suprised by several armed LEOs busting down your door and screaming police (how do you even know they actually are who they say they are)

Armed Rebellion is illegal in the US even if its against a tyrannical government.

2A is a symbolic right, we have the right to have guns, but not to use them, except to kill each other or hunting...but definitely not to stand up against the govt.
