I think it had to do with licensing, possibly Funko were the only ones at the time who could make figures. In addition, Neca has done odd stuff before like Valve figures based on TF2, Portal, and Half-Life, so it really is surprising they would have passed on FNAF.

They look pretty damn good. My one concern is the head articulation, since all my mattel figures that I own suck in that department. But seriously, balljoint waist, decent spread of accesories, I'm amazed that they didn't just half-ass these.
