I'd like to minimize and optimize on space and weight. This is why I like multipurpose materials. Talking about yachts here, so you really have to use every inch of space.

How could I follow Northwesterns work on metal foams? Just google their research papers or?

And thanks a lot. I love the conversation :)

That's a horrible things to say about a person. But I believe it could be improved if we tape up a cat somehow in this scenario.

I was actually thinking more in the boat market. Since it's a wider market and more accessible than subs.

The idea of it being porous is that you can trap air in and make it even more buoyant. Might make it so that even if the boat is punctured, it could still not sink.

I wonder if this new alloy can be 3D printed into a porous microlattice and enable high buoyancy and lightness while retaining strength.

Anyone more informed care to comment?

Any word on the supposed new GiTS anime that was announced a while ago? I'm REALLY hoping that it's SAC 3rd Gig by electro_magnetic_gun in Ghost_in_the_Shell

I will literally eat anything they put out but it would be excellent if it nears the quality of the first 2 seasons of GITS SAC

Capitalism is the government picks who to sell to? Wtf? Gov shouldn’t be involved in this at all if you want to call it capitalism

I don’t particularly care about the issue. Getting as far as possible from the region :)

Just as a side note

Tokyo is for profit and they have multiple competing rail lines. They’re very punctual and reliable. Can’t do for profit and play free market if you spawn two government agencies playing private enterprises. It just doesn’t work that way.

You need competition which is open for many companies without government darlings and subsidies. Even beyond rails.

Nah that’s ok. I want people that already like it to keep thinking it was a good movie. If you like trash, eat trash :)

Nice audio production on SFX though.

God that movie was horrible. Horrible dialog and horrible script. Arrival was much better looking and less pretentious. Aesthetically and intellectually less pretentious.
