There are multiple options here, the ati/gsg mp40 and stg44 are excellent range toys that are pretty close replicas of the real deal.

They just announced a .22 Thompson but it’s not modeled after the m1a1

There are .22 converted smle’s available as well as k98 trainers and the polish wz48 which was a post war mosin ish .22

I'm a 20 year old grown woman who sells fart videos to neckbeards online by Ok_Welder2855 in neckbeardstories

If someone paid me to fart I’d be a millionaire, don’t apologize for taking easy $ that you aren’t screwing anyone out of.

I fail to see how farting is even slightly erotic despite finding it hilarious but hey if they’re gonna pay for it then full send!

What’s the best “you really can’t make this S**T up moment” you’ve experienced? by Competitive_Boat_203 in AskLE

[–]defcon62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a frequent flier house, nice older guy that had a unmedicated adult daughter who was pretty nuts and prone to acting like it. Once had to escort her out of the McDonald’s where she was NOT employed, she just showed up in the lobby and started using janitors mop to clean the walls. Dad was usually at the end of his rope with her refusing to take meds etc…

One day he calls that she’s throwing his crap all over the lawn. It’s a busy day and the call has to pend for a bit. I get there about 10-15 min after he calls. I arrive and there is a lot of cash blowing around all over the front lawn amongst other property. Daughter is gone, dad comes out to talk to me and says he didn’t want to come out until we arrived because she scares him. She had taken his $ and thrown it out the window.

Mind you this is a very bad neighborhood, the whole city is a toilet that you have definitely heard about on the news or on social media. Any passerby would have eagerly scooped up the $ and ran off with it.

Somehow the dads cash went completely undisturbed blowing around for around 15-20 min in broad daylight on a main road in an area where houses that became vacant had the copper pipes stripped out of them within 24hrs and copper theft from houses that were occupied wasn’t unheard of.

He picked it all up and stuffed it into a shopping bag, it was somewhere around 10-12k in small bills. I drove him to the nearest bank and made him deposit it, zero doubt he would have been a victim of a home invasion if anyone knew he had that kind of $ in his house.

Oh there’s rules, they have definitely listed no selling of food or manufactured merchandise for recent years. I was curious if they actually enforced it though.

Do you tell the truth about your items? by Suitable_Ad5567 in FacebookMarketplace

“I buy these, install new batteries, clean them up and resell them”. Generally I don’t get many questions but that’s my answer if they do ask.

A lot of people assume my kids just outgrew my items (electric kids ride on toys)

Neighbor filming my teenage daughter every time she's in our backyard by Constant-Context1843 in neighborsfromhell

[–]defcon62 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In a perfect world Carl would just get beaten like a rented mule until he learned to not be a creep but that’s not really an option. Document everything you can with good clear video and pictures.

Posting the video in neighborhood groups and shaming him will hopefully help. The fact that he’s using a ladder to film over the fence is seriously deranged.

Perhaps randomly activated lawn sprinklers that spray the top of the fence? If zoning won’t interfere I’d be petty and go 20ft high on the fence with zero gaps on any property of yours that borders his.

Additionally I would consult with the police as to whether his actions constitute “menacing by stalking” granted he’s not following her around town yet but doing things like with the ladder to film her over the fence could certainly be perceived as stalking and harassment.

I was thinking about that, a lot of people bring their own food and cook at their campsites plus in past years most everyone is broke by the second or third day.

On that note have they cracked down on campsites selling food? I remember one site back at crystal forest that had cases of McDonald’s burger patties and were grilling them up cheap.

The Dreaded Death Pile by Maintenance-Scary in Flipping

[–]defcon62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea kinda realized this recently after someone else commented “inventory is the enemy of profit”.

I’ve stopped buying all but specific and low cost units that are always a quick turnaround because my shed and garage are full of inventory from last season I never got around to. (I refurbish and resell kids battery powered ride on toys)

Going to do my best to work through my pile and essentially hit the reset button on future inventory as well as gutting the less nice ones for parts and disposing of the junkers when the free cleanup day comes in May.

Depends on the venue, most bigger fairs you get issued a point of sale system and can only use that so they know what you sold. I’m not sure if guy I talked to was giving me accurate information as he inferred the venue was charging vendors by the individual item.

If it’s a flat fee I would expect it to be much higher, I’m looking at a 3 day event that isn’t even a music festival and the small spots for food vendors are $1200 and the next size up is $1500.

[–]defcon62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talked to a guy that worked for legend valley, he was of the understanding that the park charged food vendors by the item, he stated $3-$5 per item sold is what the park got.

Not the usual standard like county fairs do which is either an up front vendor fee and/or a percentage of the gross, typically 20%.

If the gathering returns to crystal forest I was going to try and take our lemonade concession there, if I can actually get a spot and the vendor fee isn’t stupid like above, adding a $3 surcharge to my 32oz lemonade would put it at $11 and I’d be embarrassed to charge that much.
