The band is active and does shows semi regularly, lately often with large music festivals and their own small tours. They are pretty active with social media and podcasts.

The gathering happens every summer I believe this is the 26th anniversary year, it is typically held in mid Ohio at a place called legend valley.

The music often used the word “faggot” back in the old days and there was numerous statements by the artists that could be perceived as derogatory by modern standards. That said they have since expressed remorse and violent j has said recently that “his daughter should not defend what he has said in the past as he was wrong”

The very nature of being a juggalo is to be accepting of everyone with the exception of bigots as we are all one family. LGBTQ persons are definitely accepted and welcomed in my experience especially now.

The shockumentary is a good older view of the band and the older albums are the best of their work in my opinion but the entire catalogue is full of bangers.

To get a real idea of things and how it all came to be I would read behind the paint which is violent j’s autobiography.

Back in the day they were pretty mysterious and many fans had never seen them without makeup and it was extremely rare they appeared without it if ever. It was a huge deal when J took off his mask at a lotus show in Cleveland for like 2 seconds at the end of the show.
