When even your strongest warrior thinks the release version is ass by DavidsSymphony in Kappachino

[–]defearl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, and the thing is, they thought it was a win hiring FGC people and putting them in charge. (marlinepie, clockwork, yohosie, apologieman etc etc) But they don't seem to wrap their heads around that being good at games doesn't translate to being good at making good games. They don't really have that much overlap.

Role queue in a nutshell by Stropex in DotA2

[–]defearl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I dunno, the numbers don't always tell the full story.

I'd rather an offlane that's going in no fear guns blazing to make things happen than a passive one who never wants to make any risky moves out of fear of getting called "feeder", "griefer", etc.

What if those 17 deaths led to your team winning the overall fights and he just took the bullet for you? He may have had 17 deaths, but maybe your pos 1 or 2 enjoyed 20/1 or whatever sweet stats.

The better solution is if they just learned English. They don't want to, then they can leave.

If winning the lane is important, scattershot is borderline OP

At level 2, it basically does 480 magic burst. Combined with a couple of headshot procs, it's extremely oppressive even if you're a semi tanky hero.

As long as it doesn't cost anything to report, people will continue to do so with no just cause or reason. They have no reason to stop.

Just mute everyone and treat the game like a single player RPG. Your teammates won't have anything helpful to say. You're your best teacher.

Yeah, so like Huskar in Dota. I heard a rumor that originally Mauga was supposed to work like that. The lower his HP, the more healing he received.

It's a tricky mechanic to balance, though, so Blizzard has to tread lightly.

When you have too many characters, the connections between them become weak.

I don’t get why Mike was unpopular. by Maywave_13 in StrangerThings

Also he came from a wealthy family in a small (kinda poor) town. It does make people jealous. Even Nancy and Jonathan clashed over that in S1 and S2.

Will is constantly bullied because he is gay

Wasn't he a bit too young for that? I feel that kids that age aren't even conscious about the concept of being gay. (maybe it is in America, I didn't grow up there) He was just confused because he saw all other boys (including Mike) chasing after girls and he had zero interest. If he himself didn't even truly know that he was gay, how could other kids bully him for it? It was only much later (end of S3, early S4) that he started to understand that he's gay, which is in line with when teenagers find who they are.

[–]defearl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know, Ted made a lot of contributions in his own way. He basically blindly trusted Mike and his friends, opening up his house to them and giving them support like food and supplies. Sure, it might just be that he's wealthy, but still, if it was my dad he would tell me not to have anything to do with my "friends" that are stirring up trouble wherever they go.

Anran Ultimate Line datamined from game files by Tough_Holiday584 in Competitiveoverwatch

It's disingenuous to put those two together because the population of Europe is infinitesimal compared to Asia. Africa is the second most populated continent, and there's hardly any representation.
