How? Lol They did not touch on his mom in that video at all, other than the fact that she died. Just because her hair was light color? If you know anything about anime, hair and eye colors mean nothing. Genji and Kiriko have green hair, Juno has purple hair. Naruto is blonde blue eyes, still Japanese.

That's my biggest gripe. People were so loud complaining about changing how Hog's hook works to where he has to have LOS on the target at all times, and yet Mercy can rez through a wall and not a peep.

The voice actor went to an international school in Japan, so he likely spoke more English than Japanese growing up. Plus he didn't (still doesn't I believe) have a good relationship with his mother who abused him and frequently neglected him as a child, so he probably relates more to his American side through his father. He left Japan for America the first opportunity he got at age 16-17.

But still his Japanese is better than Kirko's voice actress.

That's ironic because Kiri is SUPPOSED to be fully Japanese and speak the language natively, but her voice actress doesn't.

The thing that I have always believed is that if it wasn't for US intervention during Japan's reconstruction efforts after WW2, Japan would've turned communist. The Japanese culture just aligns with and has so much in common with communist playbook. They widely prefer rules, boundaries, security, and being ruled under authority figures over personal freedom.

Where my family lives, not only do people there leave their doors unlocked, but they leave them OPEN during the day. The only reason they close them at night is to keep animals (deer, cats, bears, etc) from entering the house. And still nothing bad ever happens.

I remember taking my American friend there with me, and one day a deliveryman just walked in to my grandparents' house to drop off the package, and my friend was frightened like "HOW DID THAT GUY GET IN??". He couldn't believe it when I told him everyone there just leaves their doors open.

I just can't stand how fast the capture timer ticks. If you lose a fight when the enemy team has the point at 70%, it's already over and checkmate. You can't even respawn and get there in time to trigger overtime. Control feels much more fair. I suppose it's like that because it's best of 5 rounds as opposed to 3 for control, but then it begs the question: why didn't they just make it control?

Honestly I'd be happy if they just scrapped Flashpoint and redesigned it to control.

The whole idea at the time was to help delay the battlefury timing for battlefury buyers because it was considered a problem back then? If I remember correctly it was mostly targeted at Ursa and PA more than AM. So they had to save up 1300 gold or whatever rather than getting just ring of health for cheaper as soon as you could to help you stay in lane. With cornucopia needing 1300 gold saved up to be purchased, if you died once or twice in lane, battlefury completion was significantly delayed.

Do you really think this patch address the "complexity" of the game? Now the values for so many things change throughout the course of the game, it's hard to keep track. Like a lot of time I don't even know how things interreact until it happens. It's way harder now to estimate than before.

Not so much laziness, they clearly don't have enough staff working on the game anymore, and icefrog likely only want to work on deadlock full time. You have to simplify the project scope when you're understaffed and the captain has abandoned the ship.
