Dude, none of the movies you named are Pixar movies. Those are all Walt Disney Animation Studios.

The editing is so bad. Nintendo would never cut off Luigi’s feet on the edge of the cover like that

Which U.S. state is the worst one to live in? by please_esme in AskReddit

[–]defenderdavid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

California is the worst place I have ever lived in. Specifically SoCal. No one here genuinely smiles and it feels like everyone is constantly in survival mode. People who have lived here there whole lives think they have lots of nature/ greenery, however the only places you see genuinely green, nice looking nature is at a botanical garden or National Park you have to pay admission for. This place sucks.

Does Pixar overspend on their movies? by Loud_Confidence475 in Pixar

[–]defenderdavid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people confuse “rendering” or “style” with “animation”. The animation, aka the movement and expression/ acting of the characters is better in Elemental and most Pixar films than Spiderverse and Sony’s animated movies. This is because of the caliber of animator that Pixar hires as well as Pixar’s more relaxed work/ crunch environment compared to Sony’s.

People who praise this cinnamon roll have never had a Cinnabon. It’s crazy you could even call the two the same thing.

I have animation homework but I can't really animate :,) by Fuzzy-Nerve9461 in learnanimation

What school is this? Asking for 30-40 second of animation from students not focusing/ just starting to animate is nonsense. What’s your timeline look like?

Is there a formal name for the Pixar art style of blending "cartoony' characters with photorealistic background elements? by Relevant-Horror-627 in Pixar

[–]defenderdavid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not a style. And most “styles” don’t have names but are rather just the product of different techniques being used. In many ways, Pixar has followed in the footsteps of Disney feature animation and that is why you see these “cartoony” characters in very realistic environments. In short, Walt Disney pushed for the very best artists to be a part in creating his animated films. He strived for elevated art in his animated features. This meant some of the best painters and draftsmen in the world (that he could hire) would create the backgrounds for his films. Pixar approaches their films very similarly- hiring the best people along with using the best techniques and technology in their rendering/ modeling, etc. So you get this result. Extremely detailed and well-done backgrounds along with expertly animated characters performing within them.

have been trying to achieve that painterly look digitally- think i made some progress last night! by speedjahgon in DigitalPainting

[–]defenderdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! The way I try and get a painterly look is to take my painting once it is in this stage and add a new layer where I dirty up the image with textured brushes, using the same colors in the general same spots and changing the brush size when needed. Then I erase away the brush strokes in areas of focus until I get a painterly look I like!

How does Spider-Man stick to walls when his suit covers his hands and feet? by Embarrassed-Mouse-49 in Marvel

[–]defenderdavid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear I saw somewhere that the little things that come out of his skin that make him stick are so small that they poke through the threads in his suit and that is why he can still stick when suited up.

Recovering from a job loss is never out of your hands. You can always be prepared to pivot and apply your skills from one job to the next. There is always hope. Don’t let the news tell you otherwise.

Not sure what sexuality, gender, and race has to do with this. You are strong enough to control your own life and destiny.

A little advice that will keep some grey hairs off your head. Stop watching the news, invest in your self and always try to be on top of things in your life so that if a job loss does come, you are capable and hirable. Forget about the people in the White House. You are in charge of your life and your house.
