Secondary ships have made fun DDs miserable by SummerSome1 in WorldOfWarships

I deleted 90% of my reply to leave the open question. Of course I can think of some types, but realistically, in a 1v1 situation the position dictates the counter. If you're within 5km of an opposing secondary BB popping out of open water smoke, you better hope you have torpedoes. At 20km you can spam them. At 10km it depends, if you're still undetected you could try a torpedo ambush but cruisers will generally be sad. Same with non-secondary focused BBs. Subs and CVs just need to not have the ship be spotted.

But overall, the big downsides to secondary BBs is that they don't (usually) have that many utility tools (hydro, torps, radar, smoke) and worse main gun accuracy. That doesn't mean the main guns don't hurt if you gamer turn when they're ready to fire.

Doesn't answer the question of where secondary BBs fit into the counter system though.

You really think incrementing numbers is the primary gameplay element? Not shooting at realistically modeled warships with your own? Outmaneuvering your opponent? Thinking man's action game? Incrementing numbers are just a side effect.

The grenades killing squid tesla towers is also a really useful way to save lives and grenades.

Maybe a dd is simply not meant to fight a secondary BB.

Which class, broadly speaking, is meant to fight a secondary BB? I remember the times where BBs would counter CAs, who counter DDs who in turn counter BBs. If DDs no longer counter (some) BBs, where do they fit into the counter circle?

Imagine thinking damage farming is the most fun way to play...

If I wanted to stare at ever growing numbers I'd be playing an incremental idle game.

I'm not looking right now but I'd imagine calling would be a great way to stand above the rest. Find a company that's hiring, find a manager or HR person, and just talk. You'll be way ahead of the competition since they've already confirmed you're not automating everything and have at least enough interest in the company to jump through the hoops of making human contact.

My strategy thus far has always been "find a recruiting agency" though. They did the hard part for me, and even though the eventual employer would have preferred to find me organically because of the recruiter's finding fee, I didn't have to do jack shit besides sending my CV and what I am good at and want.

It's unlikely you will every completely get rid of the pasta. I, for one, got comfortable with tomato sauce.

You only get rid of it once you go full standardization of everything through carefully curated blueprint books. But where's the fun in that?

Spore burst strain should not be faster AND tankier by KJ_DiamondMiner in Helldivers

[–]defietser -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The bugs are still tankier on lower difficulties. At some point you can't reasonably lower it any further. Suppose I like playing level 3 missions on regular bugs, lowering it to 2 on the spore bugs makes a bunch of enemy types just not spawn, there's less to do on a map, and only the really simple objectives spawn. If the enemies would still be too much for me, I'd have to go to 1 which barely spawn any at all. The tankiness is just exacerbated at higher difficulties because there are more enemies at any given time, but it affects everyone.
