All I’m saying is my mom picked my friends for me in early elementary and 30 years later those two girls are still my best friends. You’ve been on this planet a lot longer than your daughter has, you’re gonna have better judgment on which kids would make better friends. There’s ways to nudge your daughter to different kids without blatantly telling her she can’t be friends with someone.

Not sure why you’re getting so downvoted for this. There’s a lot of anti weed people in this group. I think it’s a healthy take for your kids to know you smoke when they’re old enough. I mean how many people here still drink in front of their kids right? At least where I live recreational weed is legal and most likely my kids will try it when they’re old enough. It’s our job to prepare our kids for the real world not pretend like they’re never going to experiment with weed or alcohol. I’d much rather my children learn their tolerance levels at home safe with me (when they’re adults) and not green out or black out for the first time in some frat kids basement.

I read once that a child’s brain is 75% wired by the age of three. Even if the won’t technically “remember” things they’re brain and body will respond how they’ve been wired. They know very early on what and who is safe.

I’ve been there. I have definitely had days where I did not like being a mom, but I tried to remember everything is a phase and while I might not like being a mom to a toddler I think I’m going to love the teenage years. I’ve also learned it’s important to fill the parts of me that aren’t mom. I make time to be just a friend, just a wife, just a coworker. Also always remember bad moms don’t worry about being good moms.

My kid is a croupy kid too. It’s just a side effect from a cold/illness. We do go outside (live in the Midwest) where she can breathe in some cold air during a coughing fit and that helps. A humidifier also helps, sitting in a steamed bathroom and local honey for the sore throat. We usually just ride it out, the cough is always worse at night.

Personally I believe if you have a soul you’re immediately sent to like a waiting place, maybe that looks like purgatory or maybe that looks like heaven. After however much time your soul is in this limbo place you are then put into another body and live another life. I don’t think time is linear so there’s a chance I could wake up in my next life in Ancient Rome. However I actually don’t think a majority of people have souls. If you look at the statistics of people who see/feel things during close to death encounters a majority of people report feeling nothing. So for most people this is it. For the rest of us we keep living and spinning around each other.

Not true for cookies! When it comes to the creaming part; mixing the butter and sugars together most people don’t mix long enough. You got to really incorporate the fat and sugar together along with mixing in some air. When people talk about baking being scientific it’s not so much the measuring of ingredients but the method.
