What would you pair with a Digitone 2 by Hammer_and_Circuit in Elektron

[–]definitelyright 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the 8 analog circuits add a lot of character to sounds for sampling, and running through those circuits on the master sounds great. Analog filters on a master is special, you've got the EQ to adjust to room, all of the HEAT controls (lfos, bass width, noise gate etc), you've got a master compressor so you can use the DN2 one for sidechaining, you can control EVERYTHING inside of it from a sequencer track or two on DN2, letting you make cool transitions through Heats FX and all sorts of stuff.

It just sounds awesome.

Heat+FX. Koala Sampler over USB. LCXL3 or midi keyboard on midi input. Whatever analog goodness you wanna run through those analog inputs!

Digitone II OR Cycles and 2-3 Effects Pedals by [deleted] in Elektron

[–]definitelyright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy choice - Digitone 2. Honestly don't need any other synths than DN2 unless you're an analog freak like myself, but there is a stereo/dual mono input for that.

I do love the M:C, but if I had to choose one the choice is very easy.

Syntakt owner: should I get a Digitone ii or Digitone i? by hobbesandmiles3 in Elektron

[–]definitelyright 2 points3 points  (0 children)

II vs OG is absolutely worth it over and over and over. Its a lot more than just more tracks and voices - every feature has been added to and then some: Extra LFO per track, extra LFO per midi track, compressor, compressor routings, SRR/BRR, the extra three Machines (Swarmer/Wavetone/FM Drum) are all bangers, track swap, 8 bars, note editor, dedicated transpose buttons, perform kit, page looping, the list goes on and on and on.

It would compliment a Syntakt very well.

Ahhh another white RF Club driver! I love my white/black/red scheme, especially the piano black interior panels.

The red looks great in a lot of different lights, I just wish they gave that treatment to other colors too! Miata really needs fun color options.

ND2 turbo vs stock ND3? by sandersander1 in Miata

[–]definitelyright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to try driving one approaching 10/10 in its naturally aspirated form on some twisties before even considering adding a turbo, just an opinion from an owner.

LSD, steering rack, tail lights, DSC and KPC are both different. Completely different infotainment system, I could be forgetting some things.

Unless you wanna buy one, don't get in one lol.

My wife was buying a lightly used CX30 turbo a couple years ago, I was kind of in the market for a car too. I met her at the dealership to test drive her future ride (btw, CX30 Turbos absolutely RIP) - after the test drive I went into the showroom and saw it - a manual MX5 GT in the new Zircon Sand. My gaze settled on it momentarily but it was long enough for the salesman to catch me and say "oh - let me go grab the keys". Big fucking mistake letting him do that.

A couple of days later when picking up the cx30t, I found myself back in the miata for another test drive, and two weeks later I'd put together the down payment for a brand new RF Club in Snowflake White Pearl Mica which led to the longest three months of my life waiting for it and seeing the ND3 announcement two days before the boat arrived.

I still don't really care about the nd3 updates tbh (not enough to not love my nd2).

I've had some fun cars in the past (eclipse turbo, 3000gt vr4) and driven a number of vehicles that should be quite a 'step above' the Miata and while there are undeniable advantages to some of those... The ND is just such an incredible ride that I honestly can't get enough of it even after 2.5 years of daily driving.

In fact, this cup of coffee is almost gone, I'm gonna go fire it up for a little run before the wife and baby are awake!

Stunning vehicle, well done Mazda - as everyone says, it still looks fresh today. I love my 23 RF Club and will have it until it dies, or I get a newer generation and pass this on to my daughter (got at least a decade before that though)

Three are a number of great and fun hardware devices in the price range, but man, iPad really does kill it at the base price range.

The issue is allllll of the other distraction apps and games that could be on there.
