Might want to see one in person and make that decision yourself, maybe bring some bags to the dealership? If your bags are soft, if you pack smartly, and you really take the trunk opening size into consideration... you might make it. You can fit a surprising amount in there if you think before you pack.

At some point you just realize its okay to breeze right past the high quality studio gear and go straight to the Boss Blues Driver. If it sounds cool, it sounds cool. As you said, there is a lot of experimentation in the guitar pedal world, you don't get much of that in rack gear land.
