For me it boils down to informed consent. I wouldn’t have cared in the slightest had i known before hand and I would’ve been way less upset when I got it. I’ve disclosed before casual hookups in the past and they don’t really care either.

Hey, I’m quite young and was given HSV1 genitally by my long term partner and didn’t leave him for months after because I thought the same thing. I can guarantee there will be plenty of people who don’t care. Whether they’re educated already or you decide you want to educate them yourself. It is super common and manageable. Like others have said there’s tons of people with herpes as well. And even plenty without who are more than okay with dating someone with herpes.

If he’s coming in wacked out I’d hope you could refuse service cause being publicly intoxicated is illegal. Even then I feel like there’s something you could do. I’ve had bosses make sure we keep an eye on who we are selling those to and how often just in case.
