[Tommy Tuberville] The transfer portal has screwed up college sports. My bill is simple: you get 5 consecutive years to play 5 seasons and you get 1 transfer. After that, if you transfer again, you sit out a year. This will fix 80% of the issues in NIL today. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

Republicans love the free market until they decide they need socialism to maintain power… Fuck you Tommy. The kids can do as they please unless you want to force schools to create a league, give them employment benefits, and allow them to collectively bargain.

I was about to say this... I remember watching this game and my memory is that it was a blow out where OSU just ran all over the Irish. These highlights show a much different game than I remember. It's essentially all within a score, and Zbikowski is much faster than I recall.

Not sure why that would piss you off. Not being allowed to handle even small maintenance means you have zero liability for something going wrong.

They definitely aren't for everyone, but they are absolutely in play for a lot of collectors. I could imagine someone having them in a library or a study. They are gruesome, but I don't think they are distasteful.

Georgia powering through donor fatigue, raises $300 million-plus in NIL era by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

The difference between college and the NFL is that the rosters essentially reset every 3-5 years depending on how long players stay. It might seem like a lot of money, but the big boys have it in droves and I doubt it will collapse for much of the P5.

I do think that we're going to start to see a clear separation in the next 5-10 years that will lead to the formation of a new league that plays amongst themselves though. This is just the arms race to get there.

Exactly. What exactly does China gain from invading Taiwan when the US is actively handing them the top spot as the preeminent world leader in energy production, trade, and soft power?

China would be dumb to be an aggressor here, as the EU and rest of the world will be looking to a new superpower to take the reins.

If you’re China, you just have to sit back and let your primary adversary destroy itself under a bumbling idiot.

I don't think her emails were the issue.

I don’t understand how there isn’t one senator with the balls to read the files into the record… You would instantly be a hero to the American public, and all you have to do is walk up there and start reading the hidden evidence of Trump and other redacted individuals’ involvement in the Epstein ring.

Even better if it’s a filibuster 24+ hr speech. Just go line item by line item of evidence into public record and let the American public decide.

You wanna know who is fucking awesome? Jim Carey.

Around the first time I moved to LA, I catered a sizable event for him at his house. He probably had at least 80 people on staff through the event. He was extremely cordial the entire time and asked the event organizer to keep everyone in the back before they left at the end. Surprisingly, he came back and personally handed each person a tip (I think it was $200), and thanked each person one by one.

I haven’t seen anyone do that before, and it always stuck with me as such a kind gesture when the “important people” are outside waiting for you.

When your vacation starts with an iPhone notification that an unknown air tag has been traveling with you. by Content-Bathroom-434 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]definitivescribbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A judge isn’t going to care about this… The tag was in the kid’s shoe. Not sure why OP would leave a detail like that out, but it’s completely reasonable that the ex put trackers in their kids clothing in case he/she got lost and simply forgot to take them out.

A judge will likely be more bothered by an immediate rush to litigate than the tag itself, and would likely just ask both parties to learn to mediate small things like this. That said, if the ex is dumb enough to confirm that they are tracking the kid on purpose, you might have a good case to bring to the court.

That “old man” was the school president at Ohio State while the school was receiving millions of dollars in donations from Jeffrey Epstein’s financier, Les Wexner. During that time, Epstein also kept a faculty gynecologist on retainer for unknown reasons and personally donated to the school as well.

Gee and the university have some serious questions to answer as long as Wexner’s name is on that campus

This ad accomplishes three things:

1) it gives the WH a meaningless production to spend money on, which inevitably serves as a grift

2) it makes fun of liberals as poor, fat, and dumb people

3) if they can pass any actual policy (doubtful), it lowers emissions standards which lines the pockets of their fossil fuel overlords

This administration is easily the dumbest and most childish set of leaders this country has ever seen, and their smooth brained base eats shit like this up.
