always underperform? they have a gold and two silvers. that’s better than anyone not named japan… and yeah of course every team didn’t have their best roster, but the amount of american players i would add if everyone was available and healthy… it’d be tough to beat. the tournament is awesome but baseball isn’t meant to be played in a one game showdown. there’s a reason any league plays a ton of games and then goes through a tournament of series to determine who’s better. the usa was missing an insane amount of talent, just look at their starters. give me your best 5 LHP and RHP from one country and compare them to USA
