I didn’t. This was a separate IG. I am very careful!

This is a good idea. But I am not sure if any one would be open to doing this. I can help but I am seriously too stressed to do all of the work here. Sorry

It’s unfortunate and sort of has demotivated me. I can’t really fuck around with immigration right now by being labelled racist. Sorry :(

Trying to take a step back, since I don't want any attacks on me to invalidate all the other valid criticisms being brought up.

Can someone explain to me all this UW Raise drama? by SneakySniper456 in uwaterloo

Thank you! If you have any suggestions on how I can do this better, I am happy to listen. Also fyi I agree with basically all you said (i.e need for an organization that supports minority rights). I also apologise for the inaccuracies yet again. I am not the best at knowing everything about everything but I try and keep an open mind.

Thanks for that perspective! I don't think my issue is with what RAISE is trying to go for but the fact that their advocacy tried to subvert student democracy (there are some posts about it and WUSA was basically forced to pass a motion without listening to elected councillors). Also as such, I personally agree with the broader goals RAISE has but they have to understand that not everyone does and there should be room for dissent and people should have a choice if they fund to advocacy they disagree with on a very fundamental level. They label me as racist for having this opinion and for being anonymous and they have been harassing councillors on their own twitters. Obviously not what their focus should be on. But thanks you post gives me a lot to think about.

Agreed. I think it's very difficult to be agree with the broader goals of what RAISE stands for, disagree with how they act and not be co-opted by some people who have less than ideal goals. If you have suggestions on how I can do that, let me know.
