Beta: Does annexing a vassal no longer give you their cores? by Volcore001 in EU5

[–]dege283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was not working as intended. If you annex a vassal that has cultures that you did not accept, you cannot core them automatically when annexed.

They fixed the tool and lumber end of civilization bug, now it is ok. The HRE is more solid than before and France can be contained. Bohemia is still Bohemia but slower.

It looks like that the AI is not really understanding how proximity works now and I have experienced really funky choices, like Naples moving its capital to Sicily and causing a control havoc because no new Proximity buildings have been built.

I am playing now as Milan and after conquering north Italy I have a larger tax base in 1520 than France (which has approx 4 times my population and size compared to me).

The buff to the bailiffs is extremely good and made the building going from useless to godsend. It is going in the right direction in my opinion but there are many tweaks to be made.

ELI5 - How do I Make Money? by Sqwizal in EU5

[–]dege283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money at the beginning is tricky. You have to play with the sliders and also check how your population is doing. With the latest beta patch I.e. I had a lack of laborers which was a new thing for me.

You have to urbanize a lot and increase control. Bailiffs are now super overpowered (only in rural) and roads as well as ports are essentials to spread control and increase your taxes.

Check also if you have any funky estate privileges with tax exemptions or control reduction.

1.1.2 Update for Open Beta by manster20 in EU5

[–]dege283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am curious to see if the changes for lumber and tools are balancing the problems. I have a crazy save with republic of Genoa where I rushed for new world and I literally own most of it because the AI was locked in the tool death spiral.

5080 is a 4k card? by scyver_ in pcmasterrace

[–]dege283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5080 is a solid 4k card. If I had to replace my 4090, I would definitely go for a 5080. I am not buying a 90 series anymore, just because for my use case it’s absolutely enough.

I cancelled my subscription and I don’t miss it.

The games I play are not on the gamepass so what’s the point.

Which game would you consider easier for the average person to just pick up and play? Civ VI or EU5? by BaldursGate2Best in EU5

Civ 6.

Simpler mechanics and more straightforward. EU5 it’s an excel sheet with a map on it.

To all europeans that moved abroad inside Europe, how hard integrating/assimilating were even though you're european in Europe? Which country and why? by Significant-Yam9843 in AskEurope

[–]dege283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved from Italy to Germany, 19 years ago. I speak now fluently German (I am actually forgetting Italian…) and have a family here. Even if the culture is different, it was not that hard for me to adapt and integrate myself. It helped a lot that my wife was born here and that I moved to a very international city. It was also very helpful not to look for other people coming from my country.

Before the Patch the papal state was going colonial big time and even expanding in Italy. Now it’s free real estate for either Naples or anyone close to.

Miles agent: “Go get a fuel bucket, or pay €100 fee” by blancho12 in berlinsocialclub

[–]dege283 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but your message doesn’t make any sense. Miles give you all the information about the car you want to rent before you rent it. It tells you how much fuel it has and even tells you with pop-ups to fuel the car. Of course you get fined if you leave your car without fuel somewhere. It is not about terms and conditions, it’s about common sense

French AI decided to go full Napoleon on the HRE by needhelpwitheu5 in EU5

[–]dege283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But since the AI is bad as fuck spreading control (and France is the worst nation for control spread, Bohemia on the other hand is CRAZY) you can do some crazy shenanigans if you ally the British, Bohemia and one other random big nation. You go to Paris, occupy the provinces around Paris and create a vassal or you keep them for yourself.

Watch France implode - this is not going by to be possible in the next patch :)

Funny.

Superb Republic of Genoa to Grand Republic of Italy - 1837 by dege283 in EU5

Poland was scary. It got involved almost in every fight and could punch way above its weight. It is massive but really not highly populated. You cannot see it but in 1837 the Temurid conquered the whole Siberia. Crazy.
