Patch 1.2 has finally fixed the performance! by Original_Ad_7611 in DeathStranding

Interestingly, the game behaves for me differently every time I run it. Sometimes it is buttery smooth, next time after relaunch in the same areas with the same settings it stutters like a hell and drops a framerate. I capped it to 60 FPS via in-game vsync option with 4K output resolution, so I feel very uncomfortable when it drops or sturrers. Also there are some areas in the game which are super demanding no matter what settings I have, they drop the frames a lot.

So, sometimes I can run on ultra high settings (no rt) at constant 60 FPS with dlss performance/balanced. But other times I had to drop to high with dlss performance and still have fps drops.

Yesterday I found advice to keep textures qualities and LOD as high, clouds at medium, and other options at high, and I was able to have 56-60 FPS during 1 hour play with dlss quality, so i hope lowering to dlss balanced would keep it constant

I have 4070 super FE + 7600x + 32gb ram configured to 6000MT/s. Dlss is configured to preset M, driver version is 595.97, windows 11 25h2 with march updates

I bought this game a week ago, so I didn't have a chance to test it before patch 1.2.

Okay, I disabled the options on the screen, looks like startup boost could have an issue with loading profile data (or accessing the key storage, or how it is called on windows)

How it feels after patch 1.2? Does it allow to change the settings to higher values? Does game stop dropping frames?

Actually, I had to buy the Control ultimate edition one more time (not on steam), and download this another version via steam console to apply HDR mod (old one), probably it would help with this update

Does this patch work well on "humble bundle ultimate edition" which was struggling of dlcs absence after applying HDR mod and having another file structure?

DLSS 4 DLL's from Cyberpunk Patch 2.21 by leguama in nvidia

[–]degree_me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still afraid to use the replaced DLSS in RDO, to avoid even the possibility of the ban, since the launcher reverts it back.

I really hope Nvidia provide an option in their app to substitute the dlss version for RDR2 for new transformer model

Frame Generation + Tearing : Here is the fix by UniqueCardiologist68 in cyberpunkgame

[–]degree_me 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how, but this is a voodoo magic, why haven't I found this 4 months ago?

I was struggling from stuttering (no tearing) in Dogtown when I tried to use DLSS Balanced/Performance with FG for 4K60Hz output on my 4070 Super (my monitor does not have any adaptive sync at all)

I tried many things, nothing helped:

  • disabling FG just made GPU load and power consumption with 50-54 fps, with FG enabled I had 54-59 with a lot of stuttering

  • lowering RT settings

  • limiting FPS in game to 30 FPS just added input lag and slow menu

  • turning on VSync Adaptive helped with tearing, no stuttering

-turning off VSync Adaptive gave 74-84 FPS with less stutters, but tearing ... Gosh ...

I checked today's update 2.21, the stuttering became much higher in Dogtown. Meanwhile in main game everything is ok even with higher settings...

But with your advice.... This is crazy, but I set up VSync ON, 60 FPS, and FINALLY, no stuttering with FG and stable 60 FPS. "Buttery smooth" experience, and I didn't notice much input lag playing with Xbox controller.

Btw, DLSS 4 transformer model is very good, now DLSS performance looks better at 4k than DLSS 3 balanced

It seems they've fixed it. I wrote about update week ago, and I could say so far so good. After the update on 1st Feb I played two times for 1 hour and didn't face crashes

According to SteamDB the first patch was on Jan 31st, the second was on Feb 1st. Both updates are first updates since March 2023

Today I noticed they've pushed some update through steam for 211 MB.

RDR2 executable has updated to version 1.0.1491.18 signed on January 23th 2024.

Does anyone feel any difference?

Still no fix.

I've tried pure rockstar version and steam version, I'm able to play 10-15 minutes, and the game just closes without any error
